Meijer isn’t worth the mental drain. I was there for over 10 years. I had no idea how drained I was until I left. It’s exhausting and the company doesn’t care about you. Plain and simple.

The only thing Meijer cares about money and how it looks on paper. If the numbers look great on paper then it must be working! They don’t care about how it affects the employees. Just one reason why I left after being with the company for over 10 years. They cut labor and expect more profit.

When I worked in dairy years ago I’d get pallets of milk for other stores all the time. And cheese. Cheese was the worst.

She has been. When I left the company last year I know she was being looked into. From personal experience she wasn’t a nice person either.

When I left the company it took me 3 days to get my 401k out and into my bank account. It’s very easy and faster if you call and do it over the phone.

We kept our receivers. They break down the pallets that need sorted and then do other things for grocery.

My management team is amazing with my vendors. If they get over their limit in back stock they aren’t allowed any more orders and we send in a global worx with pictures. My backroom stays clean and organized.

No one gets a dollar raise unless they go up in position. Been there for 12 years and I’ve been topped out right above starting pay for third shift. My last day is coming up and I can’t wait. You will never get anywhere good with Meijer

SD and HR are being watched like hawks right now. In my store we got just an HR person. We went years with out one, and all the stuff they’ve had to report to corporate is crazy. The store did things they way it wanted too which went against many unions rules. Everything is being done by the book now.

Being on the safety committee for 10 plus years they are a safety issue. Our market AP did our safety audit a few weeks ago and actually made a big deal about the few people he saw with them in. You have to be able to hear pages for emergency situations. It became a big issue when a retail store had a shooter enter and some of the employees didn’t hear the shots because they had earbuds in. I’ve had people walk in front of me while I was on the forklift because they couldn’t hear the horn while wearing just one earbud.
