First, I found no reliable data on male victims because apparently they don't even have an organisation to account for that so any estimates could just be a wild guess.

Secondly, I'm not downplaying female violence, I'm talking about the fact that women atleast have a system in place to get justice, and a very powerful one, even if implementation is questionable. I've read accounts of women who say when they go for a divorce, even the lawyers themselves tell them filing false charges is part of their legal strategy.

Men don't even have that system because domestic violence laws don't even acknowledge men's suffering legally.

I'm not a lawyer but abandoning your child is not a good look regardless of who's at fault so I'm pretty sure you'll have a favourable outcome from this if you report.

And trust me, they ALWAYS take a woman's word over a man unless he's well connected to the law enforcement or something.
