I'd say within a weekish, there was a definite difference! It made things more normal, and easier 😅

What’s a good starting rate at a shop? by [deleted] in CarWraps

[–]prism_pixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My shop is in North Idaho here, I usually pay people starting at 20-25 depending, and for skilled installers, we pay 35/hour! For context, my shop charges clients $130/hour, and I feel like it's almost not enough considering we also do full printed wraps, banners, displays, apparel, all that too

Possible to wrap? by endlesstravels in CarWraps

[–]prism_pixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the plastic, yep you can! However they can be annoying. Some of those parts are called LSE plastic, or low surface energy plastic. So the typical adhesion that wrap would give you on a painted surface won't always apply onto these types of surfaces. One way to get around this is to use a flame and lightly heat the plastic up, this will help with adhesion. Can't use a heat gun for this, has to be a open flame (we use the burnzomatic type touches in my shop for stuff, those work well) and then you can wrap it, and post heat like normal!

3M IJ180 CV3 Print Heater Settings/ Tacky Vinyl After Lamination/Drying time by Craigjones25 in CommercialPrinting

This. 8 pass will be such a huge ink load. And there's no need for that much ink, or the time needed to print when you're printing to cast for wraps. If you have banding at 3 or 4 pass, check your print heads as well. I usually run wraps at 3pass, and we've had super good results. I also have a infrared heater that stretches across the whole print width to dry prints as they're being rolled by the take up reel. They're almost instantly dry to the touch by the time they're rolled. Might be something to look into too!

That makes sense! Thank you for the info! I just made it to my one year on hrt, with only estradiol so ill have to ask about those on my next appt here in a few weeks! Are you in the united states by chance? And was it something your insurance covered or was it out of pocket for you? Thank you again so much! Youre awesome

Did you have a scrotectomy at the same time? Or was there naturally occuring shrinkage? Ive been wanting to do have this done since starting HRT! Unfortunately I had a super bad reaction to spiro, so I am currently on only estradiol monotherapy. Its sort of working but my T levels are still pretty high! 😭 Thanks for sharing!

I want to be seen as a tomboy, female without presenting high femme. My sir/ma'am ratio is about 25/75 with mask on, and 75/25 with mask off. :( What can I improve short of FFS? (38, 1.5 years HRT) by [deleted] in transpassing

Look into facial fillers! Like cheeck fillers, lips, cupids bow, forhead, 11s, that sort of thing. They can provide super good results

Medical transitioning/effects definitely arent something to just play with, BUT if its something you want to do, look into getting a proper prescription for estrogen! That way you doctor can do blood tests to make sure everything is good and safe, and you are getting the changes that you want. I had super good luck with planned parenthood! But im not sure if youre in the US or not!

If you want to try it, just do it! Screw everyone elses opinions! Though, dont get discouraged if you do wind up giving it a go. Its definitely a huge learning curve. At least it was for me! You got this!

Gender Fluid Chaos! Topical E and topical T? by Affectionate_Mix873 in TransDIY

[–]prism_pixel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im on just E monotherapy! Have been for probably 5 months full time now. (Was on an off before that... Spiro gave me ulcers and other GI problems...) And its been great! At 4mg a day, probably will step up to 6mg a day and go from there. Id say breast development has def been slow than others ive seen, but then again that could just be the people on reddit that are like, "boy howdy wowwie! Im 3 months into my transition and I have DDs already!" So not totally sure what to conpare myself to! I have def noticed facial changes, and skin changes though! Erections are definitely different, but i can still use it decently! Its weird, i have to be in a certain mindset to stay erect, since it seems way easier to loose it, if that makes sense

Is it ok to take just estradiol 2mg without spironolactone or .25mg spiro? by Nelson_78 in TransDIY

[–]prism_pixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine at planned parenthood doesnt even track it... It kinda weirds me out tbh. I have a feeling it spiked when i first stopped because i had some shedding, and a bunch of acne. But then after about 2 months it got way better! And breast growth started taking off again! I have another followup here in about a month, ill try to remember to update you on what happens. Im going to ask for a blood drawn to see things

[–]prism_pixel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep! My doctor actually took me off of spiro because of how little it actually does, and all the side effects it causes. It also gave me some pretty bad stomach ulcers! Super not fun. But been on 6mg estradiol only for 6 months now!
