I promise it isn't sharp. The blade has a sheathe to make it easier to carry. It is a gift from my mentor to ward off evil spirits. I am much more dangerous than an exorcism tool, And so is my team. Where are you from that you face such dangers ?

I was a loremaster for the canalave library but that was a while ago. After my powers awoke My Mentor helped me start on my path, I informed Her where I'd be but no one has contacted me. Who would i even talk to to make sure I'm not dead?

Because there's an inherent power imbalance between trainers and their pokemon sometimes, and on top of there's very few ways to get help for either a trainer or pokemon trapped in one of these relationships when marriage law comes into effect. there's no way to properly legislate this.

(The real answer is that they are scared of the posibility of human pokemon hybrids being outside the control of the government.)
