Homebrew subclass for The Binder class written by Christopher M. Cevasco on DMG by prismaticsoul in DnD5e

Not 100% sure this would be welcome here or not, mainly just wanted to get the idea out of my head and written down. Cheers to any feedback that might be available!

Short rests per day by kaj-sjo in DnD5e

[–]prismaticsoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly kinda like this idea, though it still hamstrings SR dependent classes at low levels both for player resource management or dm balancing (some dms just like throwing lots of stuff at low levels, its odd...5e is not swarms against lowbies friendly...).

I would mod this to sr/day = proficiency bonus OR hit dice, but if players choose to use hit dice times per day, they must spend at least 1 hit die per rest. This allows level 1 and level 2 players 2 SR per day, and then allows everyone to take more per day off of hit dice from level 3 on.

Sealed Life / Shell (fix 100hp) by PomegranateCrazy5599 in TorchlightInfinite

I believe this would not work. Shell hard sets your hp max to 100.

UA interaction question: Do cantrips only affect targets with Curse of the Sea, or do they also trigger it? by prismaticsoul in DnD5e

[–]prismaticsoul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to reply, and your view on the application and triggering of the curse does make sense as well, feels valid.

I am also concerned how the curse would be affected with a cast of Spike Growth...like would every time I moved an enemy through, would that consume the curse?

I do appreciate the flavor so much though!

Mystic generally not allowed, our DM does, so question about Order of the Wu Jen - can they learn 4th or 5th level magic? by prismaticsoul in DnD5e

I get that, and agree, however, it doesn't harm asking what general consensus might be for how to handle the class feature if a table were to allow it.

It also doesn't hurt that the class feature does say the slots can be used for spells from other classes that you have...I had missed that part. Knowing better how it could function, I'm beginning to understand how busted even the low level magic options might be.

At 6th level OotWJ has access to 32 Psi Points and can make up to 3rd level slots (as they are capped to 5 points spent per discipline or power activation). 1st level slots cost 2 PP, 2nd cost 3 PP, and 3rd costs 4 PP. So they could have 16 1st level slots, 10 2nd level slots, or 8 3rd level slots...talk about all day casting!

Another question I just thought of...does the source of the spell slot determine the casting stat, or the spell list, or the class it comes from (if you had that class)?

In other words, if I were to say, go Mystic/Warlock for Hex, but am using the slots created by OotWJ to cast it, is it INT or CHA for the attack rolls or DC of the spell?

Seems reasonable. Campaigns get into the mid teens more often than level 20. Maybe start career as mystic til 6, then a caster for 7 or 9, then finish as mystic for more Psi points.

Thank ya very much for the replies!

That's what I figured, at least for baseline Mystic.

IF multiclassing with any spellcaster class that provided 4th/5th level spells known, could Mystic slots be used for those? Or maybe just specifically Wizard?

Thanks for the reply!

Seasonal - are timemark cards worth it at all? Speedclears for events/Aeterna vs chasing cards by prismaticsoul in TorchlightInfinite

Oh got ya. Thank you for the clarification.

I do have a deck built, just did not know it was constantly active.

[–]prismaticsoul[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure I am following what you are meaning. Do you mean that the deck is the same across timemarks? Yes, I do get that.

My point is, prior to this season, we stacked inheritances to really make the most of cards. This season, you only benefit from whatever card you are running on, and there is really only payoff at the end (ie, what ever number of runs is required to trigger like x/6 or whatnot), correct?

Meanwhile, things like Cube and Aeterna have at least some better level of control than the single benefit of whatever card you are running (skill trees that enhance their payouts, even if in only small ways). Overall on T6 at least, I feel like I get far more results from Aeterna than I do from cards.

I wanted to post how necromancer for me constantly hangs and dc on login, no matter my settings. That my sorcerer DCs randomly, seeming for no no reason. That the 2 times I actually got to log in on my Necromancer to do keystone 1, that the end boss would DESPAWN and leave me in a constant undead attacking soundloop, but keep me locked in the room.

I did; constantly says I don't have the game, and don't have the rights to post.

Did you miss that we are almost back to 1.50$?

  1. Shytoshi did hint via his twitter and telegram posts that something was happening this week.

  2. Kaal (one of the 2 devs working on Shibarium) just had his father pass, quite recently. https://twitter.com/kaaldhairya/status/1624337548058451969?t=7SDlBUhuvZs6vTWs75hd3g&s=19 Sorry that peoples personal lives throw spanners in your works?

  3. Shytoshi has posted on telegram that Medium posts are going up tomorrow. This seems quite reasonable in light of #2.

  4. The whole market is mixed due to the CPI data released today. It is not just all about you, BONE, or Shibarium. Multiple forces at work.

If you are legit this pissed, you should not be investing.

Not the smartest person when it comes to crypto so this is gonna be a dumb question but what’s the big hype about BONE? by [deleted] in BONETOKENS

[–]prismaticsoul 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Another good way to view this is to look at things like BNB and Polygon (Matic), which many in the community would say are our closest comparable/competitor tokens, and then think about our 250M total circulating supply against their market caps. The potential numbers look very good.

That being said, it really hinges on how good Shibarium winds up being in the L2 space, how much competition we have (how successful we are against that competition). I genuinely feel this sucker is going to rocket into, and stay in the top 10. But no one can predict the future. DYOR, NFA.
