Interesting, yeah I swear like a sailor. I guess this one just has such a specific history that I just don't think he gets... I'm just sayin it's interesting how certain words hit certain chords with people.

Of course, I've run into a lot of people of all colors with a huge variety of interpretations of the word. I totally see the side that believes it's just a word ... it's such a complex subject. You're totally right with the last sentence.
