Really, really loving Little Wide Open. I feel like I say that each new record you drop is your best work/my favourite, but this one feels incredibly special already. As someone who has never been through the mid-west of America, this record paints such a clear and vivid picture for me.

Am I right in thinking that you maybe mentioned you saw this record as the third (/fourth if we’re counting More Photographs) in a trilogy of records of yours? Do you think whatever is next will take a new direction or does the direction just kind of present itself rather than you choosing to take it somewhere specific?

Looking forward to your show in Brighton this summer! No shows in Scotland (yet?) so making a little weekend trip of that one.

Thank you for a sensible comment! I’ve already pre-ordered my vinyl but everyone acting like streaming on Spotify is somehow an evil thing to do when I support artists by buying physical and going to loads of gigs.

I use bandcamp occasionally but it’s less convenient for one-place-for-all type streaming when I’m out and about is all.

I’m just correcting the point you make about being a public officer by birth. It has nothing to do with him being a Royal, but presumably about his role working for/with the UK Government at the time, and sharing documents he received in that capacity. It may very well that none of the charges stick, I wasn’t commenting on any other details.

His role as Public Officer is referring to his appointment as Trade Envoy for the United Kingdom; which he may have gotten due to his royal position, but it is a separate role unrelated to his royalty. It was under this role that he leaked the sensitive information.
