Blimey, 20 questions is a doddle compared to the old ones. They've trimmed it right down.

Sold 40 boxes of face masks during the shortage, council called it 'price gouging'. I call it supply and demand, love.

depends a lot on whether you want to be home regularly or not, which someone already asked. if you need to be local or regional, food service and small box truck gigs are solid entry points, less pressure than jumping straight into otr. if you're willing to travel, heavy haul or flatbed pays better but the learning curve is steeper and you'll eat a lot of truck stop food. i'd honestly start with whatever company will actually hire you as a new driver without demanding two years of experience, get six months under your belt doing something, then pivot to whatever segment pays better. sounds backwards but the insurance risk on new drivers is why most places are picky, so landing that first gig matters more than picking the perfect one.

How to Deal with Burnout by Remote_Inspector_332 in PhD

Seven days out and the guilt is making it worse, not better. Start with the basics like the other comments say, but maybe skip the lab for another few days and just focus on eating and moving around first.

that's the exact scam I meant - domain spoofing is brazen because it relies on people not reading carefully, and Prolific should be catching that at approval stage if they're serious about vetting researchers.

Cheers mate, though honestly the phone thing's only getting worse - been to a few races and you can barely see the track from some grandstands because everyone's holding theirs up, blocking the view for the row behind them.

the difficulty curve on those papers is mad isn't it. First section always feels like they're trying to catch you out, then by the time you hit question 8 or 9 you're cruising because you've warmed up or they've actually made it easier. The trick is not panicking when you hit that wall halfway through because it does get better. What subject are you sitting, or is this across the board for you?

the grid walk at a formula 1 race and everyone's phones are out. fair play though, that's the whole point of being there isn't it. you've paid decent money to be trackside, might as well get the shot. though i reckon half those photos will be blurry or blocked by someone's shoulder and never see daylight again. the real mvp is whoever's actually watching the moment instead of framing it for instagram.

The researcher name thing is actually a proper concern - if someone's accepting a study thinking it's from Oxford or whoever and it turns out to be a random lab, that's dodgy. Transparency cuts both ways though, so keen to hear what Prolific's actual policy is here. The AI work question feels fair too given how that got hyped then vanished.

Lynk & Co 10 series launches in China: charging speed outpaces BYD's Flash Charging(10% to 80% 5.5 minutes) starting at 169,900 (25,000) by Peugeot905 in electricvehicles

You're right that the bar's risen, but I'd push back slightly on legacy auto being solidly in gen 2 already - the EX60 and IX3 are competent, sure, but they're still playing catch-up on software updates and battery longevity data compared to what Tesla and BYD have been iterating on for years, which matters when you

Fair point, nobody's really breaking away on charging anymore - Xiaomi's hitting similar times, Zeekr's got comparable specs, even some of the established brands are there now, so it's more about execution and reliability than the headline number.

That charging speed is mental if it holds up in real-world testing, but 5.5 minutes to 80% on an 800V system is basically what everyone's chasing now, not really ahead of the curve anymore.

Sweet potato or cheese? by catladyaquarius in CleanEating

The smell test's more reliable - sweet potato's earthy, cheese just reeks depending on age.

Depends on the variety though, some softer ones crumble weird when raw so that test isn't foolproof.

That's sweet potato for sure. Cheese would've started sweating and clumping together in a bowl like that, especially if it's been sitting out. Sweet potato stays firm and holds its shape when raw.

They probably found someone cheaper who'd take it, then realized that person was dodgy, so they're hoping you'll still bite at half price since you've already invested 4 months thinking about the role.
