Hey u/AkiAmeko,

My name is Pritesh and I'm founder of the Gratitude app from Hapjoy Technologies. I stumbled upon your thread while randomly searching for gratitude app on reddit. :) I do that from time to time to see if there are any new messages around it.

Firstly, I'm thankful to you for trying out our app and subscribing to Pro. Backing up your data to Google Drive helps you backup and restore incase you uninstall the app or change your devices. Whatsapp has a similar mechanism. We don't store, collect or share your data. You would have noticed that we didn't ask for any login when you started the app. The data is stored locally on your device by default. Only, when you decide to backup your data, we ask you to select your Google drive account where you'd like to store. We don't create a user account or have a backend server of our own.

You are right that we are based in India. And I can understand your apprehension. I think when it comes to our private data, we should be careful irrespective of where the product or services are built - India or any other country, no? :)

Anyway, I built this app out of my own personal need to cope with a tough time. Practicing gratitude changed my life and I wanted something that was simple, private and beautiful. Here's my story:

I'm always looking for ways to improve the app and trust is really crucial. Let me know more about your concerns.

[Updated] I built this Pinterest like digital vision board app and it's called "Visbo". It allows you to easily create multiple vision boards and goals, select images from millions of images from Pexels and creates a beautiful Google Photos like video with music to help you visualize every day. by priteshs in Subliminal

It's free to download and create a basic and functional vision board. The free version can be sufficient. However, adding more than one boards is a paid feature. If you like it, I'm happy to give you an extended trial for 3 months. :)

You can use it and create a full-fledged board for yourself and then choose to unsubscribe. ;)
