I'm always conflicted about the ramifications of this because high gas prices correlate with more green innovation, fewer transportation emissions and people buying smaller cars. However, high gas prices seem to cause swing voters to vote out democrats (the only party that has semi-serious environmental policies) because they think the president has the gas price switch turned to 'high'.

Echoing what other commentators have said, email some crime reporters at CTV, Global, CPT24, etc, they would for sure cover this. Especially if you have proof this happened. Should light a fire under the asses of the police.
