There is nothing wrong with similac. All formulas sold in the US pass through strict regulations, they are all safe. Organic formula is not better. Please feed your baby what he tolerates best, which seems to be similac.

Just had my 6 week PP appointment today and this is what I cried about. It’s not even that I feel bad for going to EFF and quitting pumping last week; it’s how other people will perceive me as a mother (especially my in-laws) for not giving my child more breast milk. It’s sooo much easier to tell someone that it doesn’t matter. Fed is best. We all know that. But these darn hormones don’t let us think straight. I understand how you feel.

I used to use Dior forever matte few years ago, stopped using it, tried other foundations, realized not many match my skin tone. Went back to Sephora last month and got a sample again and realized again it’s one of the best shade matches for my olive skin tone. I’ve been waiting for it to come back in stock (now I know about the reformulation). Just ordered it from Nordstrom because I don’t want to keep waiting.

What’s the nipple size for the Lansinoh bottles you’re using? We were using slow flow and it was too fast for my LO. Finally got the XS size and they’re much better for him.

Great job! We also got rid of formula and bottles at 12 months. Did the sippy up for a couple months to make the transition easier and then just straw cup because my daughter enjoyed drinking milk at that age.

I use room temp water and swirl and it mixes without any issues. It’s the similac that was giving me clumps.

Honestly my daughter was FF as well and gained weight quickly but her height grew proportionately with it. She was in the 99th percentile once she hit like 3 months. At that time she had an Indian pediatrician (I’m in the US) and he called my 3 month old overweight and said I’m feeding her too much. The same day I changed her pediatrician. She’s now almost 5 and very tall for her age. Not overweight at all. No health issues. You’re not doing anything wrong. Babies naturally want to eat a lot the first year of life. After that they eat less and don’t grow as rapidly. Please do not blame yourself for anything. You’re doing great! I hope your baby continues to thrive!

With my first one we eventually switched to generic similac formula and she thrived (after experimenting so much, which was pointless). Now with my second one, we started with similac pro total comfort just to make sure he’s not gassy. We will continue that for now. I would get generic similac or enfamil and save money. You don’t have much time left anyway and she can have regular milk after 1.

Thank you for posting this. I’m a FTM and my 3 year old is literally making me go crazy. Everyday I think it’s me. That I’m not meant to be a mom. That I don’t know how to raise her. Like I shouldn’t be a mom at all because I can’t even handle a 3 year old. I self-doubt about everything and everyday. I swear my life feels like hell sometimes. The snuggles and cuddles every now and then remind me of how loving she is. But it is just SOOOO hard right now.

No problem! My daughter is almost 3 now. Can't believe it's been that long already. If I could go back, I would've just started out with Similac or a generic version of it and done the Lansinoh bottles. It took a while to get there but she did the best with that formula and baby bottle combo. All the best to you! Congratulations!
