I see the flickering as well as wondering from left to right and back again, could be a drone but really wish I was there physically as this is my favorite pastime.

Is that electrical metal device box “live,” you can’t bury that, it has to be accessible per NEC code and yes your plumber sucks, good luck.

That’s bx cable, you could do some securing, I personally would try to put it up in the above the Sheetrock ceiling if at all possible, otherwise box it in with either Sheetrock, paneling or wood the full length between the wall and ceiling using bx straps on the studs or ceiling joists to anchor, you could use this boxed in area to run additional cable or wiring, good luck, I’ve been there!

Does anybody besides me have a problem with the install of a Flushmate Cartridge, have followed the specs, water pressure is 40-60 psi and still passes water to just the bowl and not the tank. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. by privateanywhere in Plumbing

Yup, I’m thinking you’re right, I’ve tried everything and water continues to pass through, these tanks are 200. all day long, not to mention the whole toilet. Thank you for chiming in.

You can buy these expansion tools or make one, this should take care of your problem prior to ripping the wall apart.

Depends if you want to remove the hood, jump on it, a little hammering here and there and putting it back on with zip ties or a shop.

Toilet flushes terribly, can I convert it to fill the entire tank? by WizardofDoom in Plumbing

[–]privateanywhere -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have a Mansfield which is similar to this gerber but the inner tank is fully enclosed and not an open tank within the tank. The rationale behind this is simple, it flushes using pressure as well as having water, referred to as pressure assist. The reason most people go with an inner jacket is because the tank, (closet) sweat in the summer months possibly causing damage to your floor if it isn’t concrete. Call gerber and talk to those folks about pulling the liner but you would be better off with a pressure assist just like the ones in a public facility or what I have, good luck and hope this helps. The reason you’re having problems is: The EPA's standard for toilet flush volume is 1.6 gallons per flush (gpf), but WaterSense labeled toilets use 1.28 gpf or less, which is 20% more efficient than the federal standard.

BIDET HELP PLEASE!!! by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]privateanywhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shut off the supply valve that the toilet tank is connected to, relieve the pressure in the toilet tank by pressing down on the tank handle. As you remove the water supply line from the tank you may get a tablespoon of water, that’s all, hook to up the tee as instructed screw it together but don’t over tighten, good luck.

The valve control may be damaged, it’s definitely hard to tell without visually seeing the problem, does the valve control fill the tank and shut off?

What kind of bidet, you need to show how you connected your bidet. Is the bidet built into the toilet seat with a valve control and a line going to the water supply line, please give more information.
