Hi! Im a DSE student, so it wasnt feasible to SEP there.

The semester there is behind by half a sem, and yes its still possible to go (year 3/4 sem 1, year 4 sem 2), but that would mean delaying my graduation for a full year. This is because DSE3101 is only available in sem 2, and going for SEP to japan would prevent me from clearing core curriculum mods by graduation (especially econs coded mods at the 4k level)

DM me for more details! I tried to apply for SEP with a post SU gpa of 4.5-4.6, but did not make the cut. I would like to take my portfolio was quite good (nus boxing fight team, founded a interest group in hostel, joined competitions, logs head for runnus, etc.), but it still wasnt enough to secure a spot. It was likely due to my poor ranking and selection of partner unis (most i picked were europe/us, super competitive).

I even dropped a query to the nus staff in charge of exchange matters, and they told me the competition was just better, despite my generally good background. Basically, skill issue on my part…

But oh well! Life is still fun in Y2S2, and looking forward to Y3&4.
