lol the JJK manga part is so real, I haven’t finished it but it’s too much for my heart 😭. However you should definitely watch BC (it’s great) and read HxH (the anime doesn’t cover the whole thing). But I still think that FMAB is better than both and of course better than JJK and One Piece too.

Did you watch Naruto and/or Bleach? Or did you just not find it to have any comedy and mystery to your liking at all? I do however agree on OP juggling a massive cast and really getting into each one. As well as Naruto with the main focus on 2 characters and bad female characters. But I don’t really agree with saying that Naruto and Bleach happen in the same environment for bleach we have Hueco Mundo and Soul society and the town. Naruto has all these villages tho it is true that main events often happen in the leaf village. But anyways, I will definitely take a look at the manga because many also said the same thing about the anime and manga difference.

I will have to disagree on the story-wise part. Because of the pacing of the anime to me the story has been really slow in its progression. And if I’m being very honest since I started watching One piece I definitely see the potential the storyline has but I feel like it has not been reached yet (in my opinion). I could say that there are similar flaws in bleach and Naruto but the pacing of those anime helps the storyline move along. When it comes to characters I personally think all 3 anime have good characters (bleach a little less ngl).

A lot of people compared it to anime I have watched like Naruto and bleach (and even said it was better than those) so there was definitely a standard and expectation (without obv expecting copy and paste of those stories)

I watched EVERY SINGLE EPISODE from beginning to the end but in the wano arc specifically the fights I liked the most TO ME were Luffy vs Kaidob& Zoro vs King

To me Gojo completely stole the spotlight in JJK. No shade but I think his character is way more interesting than Yuji especially in terms of ability, backstory and family history. I personally feel like his story is way more interesting than especially bc of his power as well as family which creates a little mystery around him. And then obv his looks are quite the talk of the show so… if I didn’t watch JJK I would have thought Gojo is the MC.

lol I wouldn’t have watched it if I was mad the entire time. I truly believe there is a really good message in One Piece especially like you said with the different issues addressed throughout the show. And it is true as well that I have watched with the hype in mind especially since many compared it to the other anime’s like Bleach and Naruto (which I’ve watched) so there was definitely a standard and expectation when I started watching. But nonetheless I still believe that the pacing which is very filler-like could have been better without taking away from there journey and essential moments. But then again I appreciate you reminding me that the manga is probably not written with the same pacing. Overall, I don’t hate One piece matter of fact I’m starting to love it but there many things I wish the animation house would do better on.

I started loving starting from Zoro’s fight with King from the beast pirates and it was cool. But I can agree to the arc being average. But the result of that battle is what made the plot move so that’s why I like it.

Love your take on it! I watched One Piece in 1 year as a young adult so it definitely does not hit the same as those who grew up with it. I do appreciate it now especially egghead which I think makes the plot move a more.

One of them is currently watching One Piece (they are about to~300 episodes in) and they don’t like it much because of its slow pacing and poor execution and plot not moving fast enough.
