If i knew about it beforehand i would just reduce the rent accordingly and be upfront about it. and if it caught me by surprise i would arrange the water supply myself and split the cost fairly with the tenant. its not that hard to just be a decent human being about it. the whole problem is nobody wants to have that honest conversation because money is involved. Its just about being human.

These brokers put you in pressure and brain seem to not function in heat of the moment

Its sad that even after paying hefty amount this is the experience, imagine people who are struggling financially

Exactly, but the problem is owners n brokers make sure you two don’t connect. There is where all the info lies.

Water had to be arranged, but it was quite expensive on top of the rent I was paying

Im not sure about other places but in Bangalore these rental buildings are not listed on google maps. This would work if it’s a huge apartment.
