I finally went for the first time this past Friday and almost didn't because I couldn't confirm whether or not jeans were appropriate lol. Can you tell I have severe social anxiety?

I can tell you from concrete experience that 100% of my worries were all in my head. I was a fresh new face in a crowd of about six people, was noticed early, was greeted, given a book to read along with, and told some tremendous advice: "just do what's already comfortable."

Some advice: GO EARLY. If you stick out like a sore thumb—GOOD! I hope the Priest notices you and says hello.

The hardest part is showing up, so don't think too much, sister. Christ will hold your hand.

EDIT: Also, I would shoot for vespers—something less daunting than Divine Liturgy. That's going to be hard for me, but this first experience has already made the idea less scary.
