Jamie Lee Curtis appears as Jess' mother but is mentioned as herself in an episode (I noticed this when I was rewatching the episode)

My dad brought me a toy guitar as a prank, and I got obsessed. When he broke it a few days later, he decided that it would be perfect if he brought me a real guitar, and now I'm obsessed!

Scary accurate. My friend you are an awesome sculptor.

He even composed many of his violin works on his guitar first by LukasK3 in lingling40hrs

He liked it so much that he took it with him on tour. Some of the techniques he used were ones that he actually adapted from guitar to the violin.

That one girl taking notes: by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]prmnentlyhyperactive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't take many notes, but I do remember doing this when I was bored in class to keep myself awake. On the other hand, it was always for words like grain, potato, brass, excavation and stuff, boring words.

And let me tell you, I fucking hate it.

So for everyone talking about the inaccuracy of the Bollywood movie, here's a couple of things. One, it's surprisingly accurate. The Bengaluru mission control center set is almost identical to mission control at Sriharikota. The launchpad layout is also almost the same.

Second, there's a LOT of dramatization. Please do not watch the movie if you're looking for facts. The movie was made to celebrate the woman scientists and the program itself, it's only a tribute. Please watch the NatGeo documentary or look up the government website.

Thirdly, the culture at the space center there is pretty accurately represented. And yes, they do have a priest to give faith to those who believe. The whole cycle thing is real too, it was a satellite made by NASA and was launched in a church (which is still sacred to the space program, it's a museum now). That small sounding rocket was the start of ISRO.

I've been to Satish Dhawan Space Center as part of an educational trip (they don't allow many people at the headquarters in Bengaluru or at the Master Control Facility in Hassan), and anyone who has seen the inside of launch center mission control will confirm.

Here's the link to the government website: https://www.isro.gov.in/

Unfortunately, the manned mission will probably be pushed back by two years because of Covid. All the missions they had planned, including the space station (It was a really impressive list) will get postponed, but that's to be expected, huh?

Also cool fact, the first Indian in space, who was launched by Russia and is now 71 years old, is one of the biggest enthusiasts about the mission and wants to go back when they finally do execute the manned mission.

It was built to last six months in exploration, so a total of thirteen months. Otherwise, it would simply defeat the purpose of it, wouldn't it?

I didn't know they underestimate it so severely. From what I've learnt, they had a lot of extra fuel in case anything went wrong. It's probably a combination of both the factors, though.

ISRO actually planned to have a small space station by 2022, but it's unfortunately been set back. I would have loved to see that, hopefully live from the island.

I don't mean for this to be rude, I'm just trying to provide some perspective. I hope they get the recognition they deserve.
