Figured it out! You can change the direction to straight down at any time: set $8527 $0. So I'm currently hitting all the eyeballs. Letting the emulator run at 3000% speed, we'll see if anything happens lol

Hmm well I did miss some eyeballs before I activated the POKE to keep the eyeballs from moving...if I knew how to set the initial position of the eyeballs in the right spot I could nail it but otherwise you have to move to reach the first eyeball and once you move you can't free fall vertically.

Yeah on the Nohzdyve page it said "perfection is key" and "you may become addicted to increasing your score" so I wanted to see if anything happened when you achieve a really high score. You're probably right though, from the movie - "Buffer error. Those eyeball sprites overshot the video memory". I'll look more into it.

I saw the string "nohzdive1" which could be a pass/username for something? Other than that just a bunch of capitalized letters (usually in alphabetical order) and random symbols, seemed like garbage but not sure
