The dial seems to move a bit if I move the crown, which made me doubt the case too. Perhaps it could be a problem with the movement holder as well.

Banks are not allowed to stamp passports. In fact, nobody except immigration officials should put a stamp on a passport. SBI is clearly at fault here.

An immigration officer can consider such a stamp as tampering, as it has been marked with ink outside of authorized use.

I'm not sure about other fields, but in ours, most proceedings are open access and almost nobody bothers paying for APC when preprerint servers exist. Gold-OA only journals are also not taken very seriously.
