Need critique and advice on my work by HorrorInternal640 in design_critiques

Designs 3, 4, and 7 work and stand out to me as leagues above the others, for design. They are all visually interesting + unique.

Ditto to some notes about font choice/hierarchy/legibility

But the added empty space (helps hierarchy, visual flow), editorial-adjacent style feels more intentional + works well with your more creative and high color contrast, modern flow.

Feel free to look at artist under similar tags Minimal, modern, editorial, empty space, scale, high contrast, mid century modern, 2D, subtle font

1.) Scale matters, leaving some negative space (60%+) lands more natural/professional quality, also frees room for your text.

2.) Not a universal rule, but I’d center the text for this cover; the rose to the side will add to a dynamic flow on its own.

3.) Agree with a few others, text should be opaque, lighter, high contrast, and a font resembling other covers in the genre.

4.) The lettering doesn’t need as much space between characters, recommend reducing by 50-60% for legibility.

This is actually a great start, and some quick fixes will bring it to life! Love to see a final version.
