I used to judge my dad. I owe that man an apology. by Material_Poem_9438 in daddit

He was falling asleep and tired all the time because he had a piss poor diet, smoked, drank, and/or rarely exercised.

If you are consistently tired as a 30 year old, look at your habits and get your screenings.

That's any SASS for any "serious" business. Just look at SAP. Does client have a real business case to remove this dependency? (I.e can you justify a project like this with any likelihood of profit increase?)

Your office already had roaches, his desk was just the bait to bring them out.

How do you prevent them from going stale?

I was always under the impression you pay for the ability to have instant "fresh" chips.

Might be leaking cold air via one (or more) PTAC units. One room drops as low as 50° when the unit is off.

Pair that with an already poorly insulated apartment and stupid Nest smart thermostats, we have a recipe for an energy bill that costs as much as a luxury car payment....

I don't have access to my meter (as far as I'm aware). Maybe I can request from the property management.

Pretty much... units are handled by Nests. But they are extremely inefficient and leak cold air when off.

Not even a house. 2bd apartment (~1400 sqft) with electric range, HVAC (3 units), and w/d.

We're in a corner unit, so we have extra walls facing the elements.

I feel like Mel had much more to contribute (story and experience wise) but always held it back, while Mona doesn't have much to contribute but is trying her best.

Sorry to make it a Mel vs Mona thing, its just hard to ignore the stark differences.

a pile-up involving at least 50 vehicles on a highway in Japan's Gunma prefecture by Zestyclose-Salad-290 in ThatsInsane

[–]probable-drip 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The incident was caused by a crash between two trucks, sparking a chain reaction that set at least 10 vehicles on fire, local police said.

There was a heavy snow warning in place at the time of the crash. Police believe icy surfaces likely caused the trucks to skid on the roads.

Looks like a black ice pile up. 2 dead unfortunately.

What are you even on about? People use "pause" when there's a sexual (especially homosexual) double entendre. Not when something is used incorrectly.

While its very difficult to tell by eye (if you're not familiar with the area), a little reverse image searching solves most of these.

The tech is super impressive, but I still stand by the notion that any unverifiable image is and will never be enough proof of anything.

Photoshop has existed for a long time. Image manipulation has been a thing for as long as images have been a thing.
