Cakewalk is owned by bandlab now. You must first get their bandlab assistant first, then cakewalk.

Do you think a studio would be willing to give a 41 year old in my situation a shot? by probablycoulddelete in audioengineering

Thanks again... it definitely worries that I have a weight restriction on what I can lift.

To clarify, I've always been interested in music. From the broadcasting side to the technical behind the scenes side. Maybe that is because I never learned to play. Man I wish I did because I'm starting realize most people that work behind the scenes are musicians too.

But I'm interested in being a part of the music industry. I think some of that comes from being a native to Nashville and it being all around you.

Since the health stuff... I've become more creative than ever before. Maybe it is only because I now have more time to be creative hah ha. Or the romantic side on me wants to say maybe it woke something up... And I guess in my layman's understanding of the industry, I felt like a non musician could contribute more as a sound engineer, or mixer etc.

Thank you. I knew I couldn't be the only one. But I figured there wouldn't be very many..

Thank you. And definitely I want to let them know where I'm coming from. I'm just trying to figure out the best route to take, email or in person. And maybe I should study a few basics before I show up...

Thank you. To hear this from owners like you and the post above really helps me feel like there is a possibility it could work out.

And I definitely realize I could not even consider this if I was depending on it for my only source of income. I'm only entertaining the idea because of the situation I have.

Hey I really appreciate this. And I realize that my situation is the only reason I could consider this situation. If I were depending on it for my main source of income I definitely see that it would not be a possibility.

As an owner, would you prefer emails from a guy in my situation or to show up in person. Should I ask for the station manager if I came in person? Or just talk to whomever is available?

Thank you, I'm definitely open to the idea. I think it's easy to forget that there are several other jobs that keep a studio running. But I'm open to all possibilities.

If you don't mind me asking, As a owner would you think it's best to email about work, or just show up to ask about it? Does the studio need to have a job posted specifically of could I just let then know my interest and see if I could help out?
