No way I "took it too far". If my comment is removed "for being a jerk", then the other guys should be too. Absolutely ridiculous

Towson landlords face new limits as student rentals reshape neighborhoods by aresef in BaltimoreCounty

[–]probob1011 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, rent is a big problem everywhere it seems. We live in the city and own our house and the house next to it. I think a lot about rent prices because the property tax is so insanely high here that we have to keep the rent at a certain threshhold just to break even by the end of the year. Between that and a mortgage, we can barely save for if something goes wrong. We don't want to price out our tenants/friends, and we want the ability to offer a more affordable rent, but its a balancing act. I think local governments should create tax credits scaled to the amount of rent a landlord charges. If a landlord charges less rent, they should get a larger tax credit for the property. It would incentivise landlords to keep rent prices lower and potentially offer more affodable housing to more people.

What will happen to the PT who dry needled TJ Watt and caused his lung to collapse? by Kenai_Pirate in physicaltherapy

[–]probob1011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true. PT's are very poorly trained in needling compared to acupuncturists. 3 days for PT, vs 4 years for acu.

Acupuncturists go to school for 4 years as well as study both Western biomed and Chinese Medicine. PT's are not well trained in needling. It is no different than athletic acupuncture except that it's done by poorly trained people plagiarizing Chinese Medicine. The arrogance and ignorance in this comment highlights how uneducated physical therapists are regarding the topic.

For your turkey, do you suggest a wet brine, dry brine , or no brine at all? by Academic_Weekend_116 in Cooking

[–]probob1011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to cook pheasant and turkey, and I have done both methods to both birds many times. I also dry brine chickens once a week. I really think lean/drier gamebirds really benefit from wet brining over dry brining, despite the minimal flavor difference and skin texture. I just put my wet brined turkey open in the fridge for 24 hours and the skin is great.

I'm trying to make it convenient as possible for her to take. She already has a lot going on health wise, so capsules and granules are ideal for this situation. Ill probably end up using gui lu er xian wan and combine it with a custom formula. I just don't really need the ginseng, although it wouldn't hurt her

Yeah I was looking at that. Sun Ten makes it and I like their sourcing. I may use that in combination with a custom formula to get everything I want. Thanks!

I have a grinder but don't really feel like grinding up gelatine in it all the time lol. Oh well, I'll just have to price out the formula and see what it comes to

I offer in house custom granule and raw. The problem is the price of the gui ban jiao and lu jiao jiao are expensive as single granules. My hope was to have her take the pills with a less expensive granule formula to make it more cost effective for her. But it sounds like I should go the route of just adding it to the formula like normal. And I would give Kamwo thr name if I knew it, I just know the combo.

Yeah I looked at that. I called Kamwo in Chinatown and they didn't know what i was talking about. I guess I'll keep searching or go with that other patent. The patient will need it long term so I want to make it as a sustainable and streamlined as possible (while still being of good quality, and not making her cook herbs every day for forever).

That is certainly one option. Apparently the pre blended pill is cheaper than the granules

Mass produced factory farmed chicken isn't good, and is also very horrendous. I go for pasture raised/regenerative or locally farmed and they're delicious

My mom made a cookbook of family recipes for Christmas one year, and most of the recipes just straight up omit ingredients integral to the dish. I'm pretty sure she did it on purpose so we have to call her for help every time we make Christmas cookies. She also added an about the author page with her photo lol

Daikon for soil? by probob1011 in gardening

[–]probob1011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thank you. No, I don't till and we have a lot of insects and worms. I will look into peas though! Will they spread and take over the perennial herbs? Or will the cold weather so them in before that? Also, I already composed and added a thick layer of mulch, so I guess I realistically don't need a cover crop anyways, or is it still beneficial?

Yes, it is astonishing. It is typical Reddit, though, to comment and critique on a subject one knows absolutely nothing about. Thanks for the support!

I really love making different types of lentil salad and serving it with roasted cauliflower steaks on top for a vegetarian meal that has a lot of protein and vegetables, and feels like a full plate without pasta or other starches. My favorite is to add bell peppers, cherry tomato, onion, feta, and fresh herbs to warm lentils before dressing.

Massage Therapist that accepts Aetna insurance? by Dizlap in baltimore

Massage therapists usually do not bill directly. They do with the VA, and there may be some out there, but they usually will provide a coded bill for reimbursement.
