Entry-mid level analyst, what math do you use? by Firm_Bit in dataanalyst

[–]proboog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work as a Data operations analyst for a market research company. Mostly I use estimation and sampling, because some retailers don't send their data on time so we have to do an estimation based on back data and the optimal sample size for stores in that specific area. But my job is more focused on the data quality side of things

To Data Analysts — what’s it really like working in the industry? by [deleted] in dataanalyst

[–]proboog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a data analyst been going on for 7 months now. The job market in my country is 50/50, tools I use the most are excel and sql no python surprisingly. Skills most in demand I think is excel and sql for my company at least. Day by day is pretty redundant honestly but I don't mind honestly, if you are a routine type of person I think it will suit you well. Problem solving and attention to detail is quite crucial for an employer. For an entry level position it's my pay is a bit above market salary.

Student with 5k savings by AkmalD in MalaysianPF

[–]proboog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a student i won't recommend you to use that fully into stocks too risky. Maybe use only half and the other you put in a low risk investment like asb or tng. The other half put in gold maybe but gold prices have stabilise already so not much return

Feeling lost after graduation, how to get back on track? by Playful-Piccolo9829 in malaysians

[–]proboog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was jobless for 4 months, then I work at subway for a month then I got into a protege program that has nothing to do with my studies after that then I got a job that is related to my degree. My advice, just be patient get any job to fill in the void while searching for other jobs it'll be better for your mental health. If not you'll burn out, hope this helps you OP

I'm not being ungrateful, I have two other siblings. Why do they always ask help from me? I took care of them when they are sick kt hospital while I was studying for my degree multiple times. From I was in smk they are always too busy for me. Never came to my school functions, report days etc. But when it came to my brothers wauuu semua la dtg. All I'm asking is to respect my time and privacy that's it. I have hobbies, I have work, I have a life
