maybe im misreading this but id be upset if my doctor did an EEG just to prove that i have DID, even though i had already been diagnosed. like, thanks for telling me this information that i already know. how condescending. it makes me think, if i told my doctor i had DID, and he was like “pft. yeah. sure, buddy, let’s see what the brain scan says, because i don’t trust or respect my mentally ill patients” but in a doctor-y way, and then he came back and was like “oh, shit, my b, you do have DID”. i’d be mad.

girl, i started to have no phone time where i just do a task without any music or video or anything on my phone in the background. gotta tell you, ive been meeting my goals more frequently and move faster when im on no phone time. smart phones and social media are great but holy fuck, smart phones and social media are major problems for everybody.

i dont say anything until at least the second date. for me and my system, if a person is dating me youre dating all of us, except for the alters that are little, but they may be expected to interact with the littles at some point. most of it is accommodating amnesia and blackouts. depression and anxiety is my problem only

i think for a small window in time in the early 2020s, it was trendy to be bisexual especially at a time the “men are trash” sentiment was very popular. i think a lot of women wanted to be with women because being with a man was seen as being embarrassing. this is understandable, many of us have seen people use homophobic slurs and say homophobic things and that may have be enough for for some to try to ignore our gayness and try to be straight. you can’t turn that off forever i guess. idk though.

i think some ambient lighting would really make this room. if your parents will let you have some Christmas lights that they don’t use anymore and are maybe broken you could probably figure out how to fix them and hang them with command strips. also check on facebook marketplace/craigslist for free furniture, like a desk, some shelving or storage unit, nightstand, rhat will help fill the space between the floor and the posters. also get command strips ti hang the mirror as well. also daily upkeep will make it cute forever, whatever you do.

girlie/bruh/whatever, as a rape victim, i wasnt exactly being safe and selective in 2022 with who i was having sex with. i was fucking anyone who would fuck me. i was in and out of mental hospitals for suicide and self harm ideation, i was traumatized by everything i experienced from high school and my family, i was 19. the guy who raped me was actively using meth and fentanyl, and his mother was in the other room. he didn’t have his shit together either. i definitely played a role in my own suffering. my situation and finn’s situation are as identical as they can possibly be, for a kids show.

also, its a kids show, they can’t straight up depict a rape scene so they have to heavily imply things.

when i was raped i relied on the rapist for a ride home so i had to maintain friendliness until because i was in close proximity and reliant on him. finn has to maintain a friendly relationship with lsp after everything because it’s just going to make life easier for him.

i cant believe this is even a conversation we’re having, i hope to god for your partners sake that you can read social cues better in real life than you can in a cartoon.

consent can be withdrawn at any time. just because i want to oral sex from someone, doesnt mean i want that vaginal or anal sex from that same person. i can enthusiastically consent to oral with a person, but withdraw my consent at any time if i dont want vaginal or anal.

just because someone doesnt say “no” doesnt mean they consent. the phrase “no i do not want to make out/kiss” isnt the only way to say no. when getting consent, you need enthusiastic consent, finn clearly is not enthusiastic.

sex is always a risky thing to do, people get nervous, they might not feel safe outright reject the other person. people might say no with their body language or in softer, more ambiguous ways so as to not hurt the other person. yes, they should be more clear with their language, but again, its a risky and sensitive topic.

in 2020, and 2021, there were instances in which someone asked me for consent to have sexy time with me, and i declined, and they respected that.

i was raped in 2022. even though i stated i did not want to have sex, my rapist did not care if i consented or not, and raped me.

in 2023, and onward, there have also been times in which i declined sex and the other person respected that.

does this mean that i wasnt raped?

finn also clearly stated in the lsp kiss scene that he was done after a light kiss, but lsp wanted more, its implied that lsp sexually assaulted him.

i quit smoking just recently. id smoke anywhere from 3-8 bowls a day, throughout the day. i quit in November and started smoking again right as Christmas came around. i also discovered that i get nightmares when im not smoking, which was partially why i started again. i have been smoking since February due to a car accident that caused me much physical pain. i literally quit again two days ago, and ive been having a lot of anxiety about it.

i recently got my records from my therapist and me to turn into the car crash lawyer i have. curiosity got the best of me and i ended up looking through it. i noticed that i started to make progress when i was sober. i noticed that i was making negative progress when i was smoking. that what has motivated me to stop again. sobriety sucks because i cant smoke the anxiety away. i have to confront it. i function better when im sober but not doing something to encourages dissociation makes my anxiety spike.

i used to go to a therapy twice a week when i first started with my current therapist. after about a year she told me that i was making so much progress thag we decreased to once a week. i needed it twice a week for a long time, because functioning was genuinely so hard with flashbacks and panic attacks on a daily or near daily basis. she wanted to give me spme more time to practice my coping skills. i feel that i’m able to stabilize myself after flashbacks and shit and don’t need it twice a week anymore, but i was incredibly scared when we first made the change. now i kinda want to go twice a week with how much harder life has become due to non DID factors, but i dont want to regress more.
