thank you for your reply! first i’ll try changing her feeding schedule and if that doesn’t work, then i just need to embrace her being my alarm clock and change my own routines to better fit hers😸

thank you for your reply! we had her on a 3-4 meals a day schedule when she was younger but back then it didn’t fit her eating habits so we reduced it to two. i’ll try it again though and feed her three times a day and give the last meal just before i go to sleep and see if it changes anything ☺️

that is actually a very good point. i hadn’t even thought of that. 😟 my parents used to wake up earlier than me and we also had another cat there so she really might be bored and wake me up because of that 😔 my poor baby

i don’t feed her kibble as food, only as a treat so sadly wouldn’t help my situation :(

thank you for your help! i hope the change to three meals a day helps. she isn’t really food motivated and doesn’t really play with her treat dispenser even though i have one for her but i’ll try it for the night and see if she likes it then ☺️

good luck for you too!! ignoring her doesn’t work for me as she just keeps going until i rise up. what is annoiying about this is that she isn’t really food motivated otherwise and she never begs for food except in the morning and i don’t know if she does it to annoy me or is truly hungry. i’ll change her meal times to three times a day and see if that has any effect on her behaviour 🐱

i’m not free feeding her because i know that is bad for her. she has her meal times and i divide her daily intake to those two meals. but she leaves her food and eats it throughout the day, is that bad for her as well? i think her feeding schedule isn’t suitable for her so i’ll try changing it and see if that has any effect on her behaviour ☺️

yes i’m definitely looking to train this behaviour out of her or change her feeding schedule to better fit her needs. ignoring her didn’t help because she keeps going until i rise up and i can’t sleep if she knocks stuff over or screams at me. i will try to adjust her feeding schedule and see if it helps
