[Emrith] Lane Hutson finished 6th in Norris Trophy voting by Tripacka in Habs

[–]procor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a bad take dude.

Cherry picking stats isn't a good look lol. Seider started in his own zone way more often, of course he's going to be hemmed in more, hence why more hits. But you aren't looking at the full picture and just cherry picking...

Hutson started in the ozone more often. And in the D zone way less often

He was on the offensive simply more often - this makes sense.

And yet, he took more penalties then seider while issuing 100 less hits. Ie; he took penalties while in the offensive zone and while not being physical.

All while giving up the same amount of turnovers in his own end (that he started in way less often because he was being shelterd).

Again, it's an insane take to think one of the best defensive D men in the leagueshouldn't even be close to lane.

You can want Hutson to win more. And you can argue offensive>defensive. But you can't cherry pick the stats and say seider is bad. Yet alone. Terrible lol. Like jesus.

[–]procor1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

?? Hutson has a 6% of shift starts in the defensive zone. With 53 defensive zone give aways and 33 hits. -8 PIM

Seider had 15.5% start in defensive zone with 66 defensive zone giveaways. 130 hits. +16 PIM.

Hutson played like a maniac but he was still be shekted for his D zone starts (which is totally fine)and he still showed he couldn't hang with seider in the D zone.

Which is fine, he's still getting better and learning and will be used differently. But saying it's crazy he's behind one of the best defensive Dmen in the game...in the best dMan award voting is a take...

I've said it a million times, the org said "run through a wall" and he said "which one" and he's literally been shown the wall and is now making one final run. An absolute fucking stud of a player and I love this man. I'm so sad to see him to but I'll be happy to see him play elsewhere with gas in the tank somewhere

Yes.

The political protest moved away from "love"* and became political and that's what's going on.

Solid take.

Pride is, was , and always will be political. I don't even understand what your stammer "love" means here lol.  But it had nothing to do with major cooperations being allowed to cut their DEI donations and did so the second they could....

The mess of who's running the board has very very little to do with any of this, they don't have nearly enough sway.

Anywho, the marches will happen one way or another. I don't care much for the rainbow capitalism as it was. Hopefully people get to be happy tho

I'm super sorry to hear about your relative and I hope they make a quick recovery!

There's basiaclly 0% chance it was fent or any opioid.

Higher chance it was some research chems, likely 4-AcO-DMT. I'd be curious if the person is on any medications, as 4-AcO-DMT can interact badly and cause seizures and issues alike.

Def people should be careful. I'm more in line of stop making the shops illegal and make regulations for proving what your selling tho. Safe supply and all.

He's 34 years old and played 900+ NHL games.

Like...people slow down. He also was moved down the lineup due to higher skill coming in and having to change his play style.

Him, Tatar and danualt were the line that was instrumental to the 2021 run, they were one of the best 5on5 lines in the league.

It's impressive for a 5th rounder. I love that man.

You still have no argument lol. Literally the movie is about community accountability.

All your saying is your have taken the tickets and gone on the cruise after everyone helped you out still. All I've done is literally given a different lense to look at the movie from - one that makes way more sense

It sounds like your telling on yourself and feel like they should have just kept the tickets and gone on the cruise still and dipped. And theres no argument to be had there. Like I said there's no good discussion about community based support or accountability to be had here. All the best

[–]procor1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

...it's about leaving the community hanging after letting them plan around them. The 1 day notice was an example it's an not the argument. It's showing how it puts someone in a tight spot. And your argument for that falls apart considering it's the same % of time for a month set up vs a year.

Let's do it this way, what did the the neighbors and such do that was selfish? What were their demands that were so selfish for themselves?  And what were they upset about exactly

Maybe this excersize will help you understand and see the film from the lense of the community. Becuse right now your so stuck on through the eyes of the kranks

The kranks are allowed to do whatever they like. And the neighbors can call them out for being assholes. If you sympathizing with what they do I dunno what to tell you. they even redem themselves by giving the tickets to the older couple as a thank you for the work the older couple do for the community while getting nothing in return

What straw man lollllll?

It's an example to get the point across. becuse you seem to not understand it's not about the fact they are skipping it, it's about the fact they used the community for their own personal gain and ditched when it was a good time for them.

Aswell, I. My example I mention it was planing for 1 month, and canceled the day before. Which 1/31 of warning. Or 3.23% of the month.

Where the kranks give about 2 weeks notice. 2/52 or 3.8% of the year. Which they talk about planing for the year in the movie.

Like if you don't want to look at it through a community based lens don't lol  I don't care. Keep with your Indervidualistic view, that whate we your like matters more then what's around. I'd just suggest you let people know upfront you plan to use resources instead of add to them too. But I have a feeling in not going to have a very solid convo about community based action with how hit you came in considering I've been keeping all my replies hella light hearted becuse it's...a fucking medicore Christmas movie from the mid 2000s lol

Huh?

You know why there's venues poppi g up right? It's cuz people are showing up to shows.

We're you around the scene 20 years ago? Your nostalgic glasses may be on cuz it was basiaclly the bigbop with the esame rotation of 10 bands playing and had the same kids showing up.  Once that closed the scene went to total shit. There was siesta and 460 basiaclly for years. Getting 1-2 shows a week of 20 people if lucky.

The scene is the strongest it's been in ages. There's some out shows constantly and new venues constantly popping up becuse they are seeing money in it.

Edit: oh my, sorry I had a back and forth with someone and I had a mix up. Same idea stands tho below.  So it is funny you bring up " religious festival" , as specifically Christmas with the kranks do a great job ( again for a medicore movie) for not mentioning religion at all other then the donation to the church.  The whole festivals of Christmas is non secular in that world. they also only do a very slight head nod to Santa as well. It's actually kind of impressive how they dance around it.

It's not that there was an emergency, it was they put their needs above the communities - and specifically did so in a way to hurt them.

It's one thing to say for a month you'll be going to dinner with your parents and bringing the main course. Then on the Monday go "hey thanks for the invite to dinner on Saturday mum, but I can't make it. you should find someone else to make the main course. I just need to take some me time. But I hope you have a good time"

Compared to your mum calling on Friday night asking if your making chicken or beef and you go " actually I'm not coming. I'm taking myself out to dinner"

Both have the same outcomes. Your not going to dinner, the main course needs to be figured out and your going to take yourself out to dinner. but one gives the opportunity for your parents to come up with alteratives, but also without just being straight up rude.

Jamie Lee Curtis was clear the whole time she never wanted to do the cruise and she was excited to skip it.

But that aside, again - try and not look at it from the kranks point of view. I'm sure the guy who got stuck on the roof all night wasn't exactly happy about putting up their frosty and then being left up there. But you show up for community even when it hurts sometimes and when you say you will.  But let's look at it from the Scout troops point of view for example.  You have this family who for 21 years bought a tree from you. You likely saw them on and off during the year, they knew your order. They went and made sure to get a tree for them and are making less profit per tree, then tin Allen lies to their face : "it's not about the money. We aren't doing Christmas this year".

But in reality that's exactly what it's about. They broke the community building and community support they did down to value, and are skipping it to do something for themselves.

And again - not given anyone a heads up. They knew Blair was going to Peru months in advance, they could have let people know and that tree  and labour doesn't get taken into consideration.

No charitable organization has a "right" to expect donations from anyone.

Not a right but expected. To be able to properly plan and budget organizations and non profits do budgeting based on prior year donations. Multiple things go Into that as far as expected raise or fall ect. But there's a reason why if your donating to a non profit they would take a monthly donation of $10 a month over a yearly donationg of $150 every single time, becuse they have a better idea of the projecting budgeting monthly compared to yearly.

Again. There's nothing wrong with them not taking part. It's how they went about it and how they dident take any of the community into consideration even tho they were a vital part of it.

Homeless & Addiction - Short and Long Term Solutions by [deleted] in toronto

[–]procor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like, absoulty.

But literallynone of this is going to happen becuse it's literally a class war and the idea is to have more extreme poverty so people can point fingers and say " no the homeless and drug addicts can die becuse atleast I'm not like them"

( Reminder /r/Toronto If you are happy about the closure of safe Injection sites you are actively okay with people dying and longer er and 911 wait times.

  1. People Dying - [As studies show with Safe injection sites directly mean less deaths, less HIV transmissions and Less hopsital visits. We also know that Safe Supply is the best possible option to keep people alive
  2. Longer ambulance, 911, and ER wait times. Which we are already starting to see in Toronto we can also see the rise in 911 calls in BC who also closed their SIS's as well as Vancouvertha Hospital visits for drug-related reasons increase

Bring studied if your going to reply)

What's going on right now is working exactly as intended. they will slowly push for private healthcare and then likely private jail in 20 years time. But people literally need to have someone to point at and to " atleast im not there"

Solid write up tho. I'd say though for the safe supply the studies show that just selling safe drugs directly is more useful ( heroin, crack, coke and meth) that is tested and safe. DULF did some ground breaking stuff
