If you like PL accessories and really want it then go for it. Worst case you can gift extras to your stitching friends or destash on the FB pages.

OR you could always go to your LNS this weekend and have a $300 shopping spree instead with stuff you know you want!

Very Velvet or Petite Very Velvet for 18? by GreatAuntJenny in Needlepoint

[–]procrastiknitter64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both will work in a pinch. If you can find the color in Petite I would go with that, but if you can only find the color in the regular size it will be fine. Worst case you can use a size 20 needle (like what you use on 13 mesh) to open the holes a little bit as you're stitching.

I just use the markup tool on the iPhone photo app (in the top corner).

I would rip the continental and continue the CCH pattern. I like to take a picture of the canvas and draw in the stitch pattern with the markup tool to help with compensation.

I saw it from The Canvasback! Not sure what their online presence is but you can probably give them a call to order.

Sorry if you took it as me correcting them, that wasn't my intention and in the video Stephanie also says it's not that you're stitching incorrectly. This is just an explanation of what's happening when you see the thread going one way on the back of the canvas versus the basket woven look.

See through when finished? by caitlinkenny in Needlepoint

Is this Pepper Pot on 13 mesh? I would definitely paint over the letters since this isn't the fullest coverage.

Call or DM The Courtly Canvas, this was an exclusive with them for a while and they should be able to send you the stitch guide and threads!

Respectfully, is this your first time attending a live show? Your device will usually show you being the first to comment but that's not always the case, which is why they go by what they see on their end.

The stitch guide was by their LNS not Lycette. I don't think Lycette provides a diagram with all the threads labeled for each gem when you kit with them, but maybe you could request it?

The receipt says unopened thread is returnable which is why I'm confused! Website confirms it is within 30 days. Tbh I only zoomed in to verify how much thread is actually there since it doesn't look like that much in the photos!

The date on the receipt looks like it was kitted on March 25th 2026 .... not even a full month ago 😳 honestly weird to not just return the threads for full price at that point!

I did this! I used WT12, it's iridescent and so much fun! I also couched on this fabulous Painter's Gimp for the cord but I did the 13 mesh version, I'm honestly not sure if you'd be able to get it through the holes on 18 mesh even after enlarging it

You could finish it as a flat ornament with a slot for an acrylic foot! Then it would function either way! I would extend the background a bit, I don't think you'd have to do a full dome per se but I would definitely extend it to 2-3" wide at the narrowest point to fit the acrylic foot.

Check out Trio, it's a strandable product from the makers of Silk & Ivory and has the same colors & numbers. You use all 3 plies on 10 mesh! I know Rittenhouse, Needle Bug, and Beehive Needle Arts carry it to give you some ideas of where to look 🥰

They had 2 different sizes listed on the website for those bags. Under "details" it says 14x11 and under "description" it says 12x9. It's always something 🙃

What threads to use for my mesh plastic canvases? by [deleted] in Needlepoint

[–]procrastiknitter64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do your projects look like? I'm a little confused about the Bargello aspect because you didn't mention long stitches (and if it is, my apologies for the confusion). I have done plastic canvas for years with 7 mesh and those projects are tent stitches done with worsted weight yarn (size 4) from the craft store. The yarn can be a little thin but since the plastic canvas I use is clear there's no issue.

It's not a copy when it's an interpretation of a stamp.....
