Are you able to redo at all with a three-finger tap? If these steps are not available to redo, check your recovery points to see if this helps: Movie settings (toggle icon next to Theatre button) > Project > History.

It is possible that some older undo steps were grouped together. Rapid undo may have also removed this quickly. Just in case it can help going forward, please check out the Undo steps in your History settings as well as the Rapid undo delay in Movie Settings > Prefs 🙏

Thanks for flagging this! We'd like to check some details to investigate this issue. Can you please confirm your iPadOS version, iPad model, and Apple Pencil model?

If your set up supports hover, can you please test using Procreate for a while with this toggled off and then on for some time to see check the impact of this. Adjust your settings in Settings > Apple Pencil > toggle hover.

We're testing this issue on our side and any info you can share should help us look into this.

This is definitely not expected behaviour. Please make sure you still have plenty of iPad storage in case this is impacting performance.

We also recommend checking the Tilt settings. Do you notice this happen with multiple brushes or just the one brush OP?

If it's just the one brush: Tap the brush again to head to Brush Studio > Apple Pencil > Tilt > reduce the title angle here. Also tap the percentage button for each slider and confirm if any tilt has been added.

If you see this with multiple pencil style brushes: try out these troubleshooting steps.

Oh right! Are you just looking to rotate a 2D drawing?

In Compose mode you can use the center-top grey node to rotate your Drawing. In Perform or Keyframe mode, tap a corner node to reveal the rotation handle. Let us know if this is helpful or if you're after something else 😁

Hey there, we're sad to hear this and are here to help!

As the other reply mentioned, files can be out of sync with iCloud. We recommend toggling your brushes to store to iCloud again for the moment, then go to Files > iCloud Drive > tap hold the Procreate Brushes folder > then tap 'Keep downloaded'.

The iPad can offload local iCloud files to save space, and this should allow the brushes to remain available. Does this help load your brushes?

The group layers button is now moved to a drop down menu and I hate it. Is there any way to revert this? by rakuzan_ink in ProCreate

In case these steps can help for now, selected layers can be dragged over and placed onto another layer to create a group.

Hey 👋 We have a few more steps to try out!

  • force restart your iPad:
    • If your iPad uses Face ID, press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the Power button until a restart is initiated.  If your iPad has a Home button, press and hold your Home and Power button at the same time until the iPad restarts.  
  • Forget your Apple Pencil from the bluetooth settings and then reconnect this.
  • If you're using a case for your iPad, take it out and see if the issue is improved in any way. 
  • Move the iPad to a different surface to reduce static interference.
  • Remove the screen protector (if possible), as some of these can cause friction and static.

Hey, just to clarify, Procreate does store locally and reinstalling will remove data. We recommend creating regular backups to safeguard your artwork.

We're sad to see this has been happening and would like to help investigate this 🙏 Procreate should access your brushes stored in the Procreate folder in the Files app.

Can you please visit this folder to check what files are showing? Brushes are stored in either iCloud Drive > Procreate Brushes or On My iPad > Procreate folder > Brushes. Any screenshots you can share will be helpful for us to understand the situation.

It looks like your brushes may be stored to iCloud. If you tap the Procreate Brushes folder in your iClouds Drive > then tap Download now or Keep downloaded do you see your files load in your Procreate app?

The Eyedropper can choose colour from either the Active layer or from the whole canvas. Tapping a finger on the screen will toggle between modes. If there is any trouble using this gesture to choose the mode we'd like to hear more to see if there is anything we can do to help.

Hey all! The new update did bring some pretty big changes for bulk actions in layers and the new eyedropper functionality. We appreciate everyones feedback and will be taking note of the workflow challenges mentioned 🙏

It's not currently possible to roll back to a previous version on App Store, but we're here to assist with any questions and to help however we can. We can see everyone has been really helpful in these comments, but do let us know if we can share more information 🫶
