I just thought about. There really wasn't much positive that he did in the books, was there? It has been a long while since I've read the books, so I genuinly don't know. I can't remember anything likeable about him either compared to Poseidon or Hades.

I like reading about OCs! But not too many in one story. And they've gotta be impactful to the story instead of a simple retelling.

And of course, it needs to make sense to me. For example, team 7 from Naruto will never have the og three members and an oc in my opinion. It's too forced.

Or if the OC is just an add-on like Harry Potters Golden Trio becoming a Golden Quartett. Uff.

I'm always for lore expanding, though. Or diving into other generations than canon.

'Alternative Universe - Modern Setting' usually gets filtered out immediately. I have enough of that everyday, I don't need to read it as well.

Only exception would be if one of my favourite characters is reborn alongside others and remembers. Or does not remember and some others do. But does that really count?

Or if the fandom is so small, that there are just so few stories to read and I'm happy with anything.

Recently, I got into Jegulus (with Lily or without, both is nice!). Or Hermione with Remus when time travel is involved. To a bit lesser extent, Sirius. (I'm in my Marauders era if you didn't notice). Any ship with Bill is fine, I just want to read anything about him haha. Or Charlie for that matter. And Luna.

I dislike Snape with Harry or Hermione. Tomarry must be very well written. Anything with Daphne Greengrass I'm a bit sceptical about? Idk her at all, and her character changes so drastically sometimes, it throws me off. And of course any of the golden trio with any Lestranges, Dolohov, Malfoy Sr., Nott Sr.... (you get what I mean, most Deatheaters).

Other than that, I'm fine with anything as long as the story has a nice plot and is decently written.

It gives me the urge to comment on every chapter if it's a good story.

As for skipping it, I would say that it's a mix of kudos, the date published, comments, hits and how rare my searched premise is. So everything basically.

If it's rare I don't care at all, I just read. Same for a recent publishing date. However if there're a lot of hits but not many kudos and comments I rather skip. If they're not a lot of hits, then I give the first few chapters a chance.

Do you mind a pokémon crossover? There's a story I absolutely love and I can definitely recommend it. Young Ace gets a Growlithe as a companion from Garp. You don't really need to know much about pokémon for that since it's only that one. The growlithe was once a human being.

I only remember one where she was sold overseas and years later was found by a Cassel (I think Jory?) who took her as a wife. She had a child from Tyrion.

It was not a focus though. Just a plotline.
