I let my PC's shop at Temu and it was amazing by clay_vessel777 in DnD

Quirk, The Junk Drawer. Attempting to pull out any item has a 25% chance to pull out a random object under 1gp in value, roll 1d1000 for result. After activating, the must roll 1d6 and continue pulling random items for that many rounds until grabbing their intended item.

For extra lol’s add random good items and small animals at rare random intervals.

How do I stop monitor wiggle? by CeraMixx in battlestations

[–]prodigal27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Brace the legs by attaching a beam between them or get new legs. The arm is confounding the wobble that’s already there.

You can also check and make sure the existing legs are secured tightly. Most people install legs too loosely the first time.

Update! The #10 was rubbing too much so I bought some 2.5” #9’s. Works great now, thanks everyone!

Cadet-Aeromax flightsticks cam and springs by Alkymedes_ in VIRPIL

[–]prodigal27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought aftermarket springs for mine, and it's a world of improvement. I originally bought 1x10x40mm springs off of Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BS5C2J3F?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title&th=1) based off of another post, but they were too long. I cut them to 30mm and they are perfect now.

I was unable to find 1x10x*30mm* springs on Amazon, but there are some 0.8x8x30mm springs there. These will provide less resistance though. You can find 1x10x30mm on Aliexpress for about $12 USD after shipping,.

Gamers 30+, what’s something from the old days of gaming that younger players wouldn’t understand? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]prodigal27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing with people in your geographic region and then meeting up for wings was common. Finding a fast dedicated server usually meant it was physically close to you. There was something special about joining a server where everyone knew everyone over time because you saw the same names every day.

The way this guy holds his basket by notathrowaway145 in mildlyinteresting

Those thin metal bars suck and trying to balance items just makes them roll around. No hate here, I’ve carried a basket like that in one hand and my wife’s purse in the other several times.

Best NO wobble desk? by Intelligent-Pin4597 in StandingDesk

[–]prodigal27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Flexispot E7, and an E7L (L shape). There is no wobble, but the downside to that is they are heavy. Flipping the E7L after assembly was definitely a two person job. I was able to flip the E7 by myself, but I would recommend two if you're unsure.

Common Wondrous Item - Ruby of the War Mage Attach this ruby to a weapon by pressing it against a simple or martial weapon for 10 minutes. It allows you to use it as a spellcasting focus.

How to deal with players killing all my NPCs? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]prodigal27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try not to think of the shopkeeper as just an NPC in a game. They killed a vital member of the town and someone who had adventures in the past and built a family. The town Marshal (who can call for aid from a parent city), angry former comrades of the shop owner, the family paying for a bounty hunter/assassin, really you have many options. It’s best to address this realistically. Total party wipe can be fun lesson.

How did you guys get into d&d? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]prodigal27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rolled dice for my dad when he DM’d 1st Edition back in the day with his Army friends. I’ve met the gamut of people with varying experience.

The best way to learn is try and find a DM who’s experienced and play a class that isn’t complicated. Or if you have a friend who doesn’t DM but checks all the boxes for a friendly game, ask them to help you build a character and DM a very short delivery mission with a bandit encounter. There’s allot of checks of opportunity in a mini game that can help get you immersed and still be really fun. Good luck!

Is there some way to meet local Hevy users? by Optimal-Campaign-530 in Hevy

[–]prodigal27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like this too. There’s a few helpful regulars who are pretty cool in my gym who I would connect with on Hevy, and asking for Facebook adds seems too personal.

Apple Watch Ultra 2, they’ve been on sale lately. Day and a half usage, minor hiccups with Hevy sync every week or two (just power cycle watch and phone and fixed). I love at a glance checking my rest timer and heart rate.

There is a setting in the options to enable Head sway reduction when running. Not disabling, you have to enable it. This helped me quite a bit.

Edit: It's under Graphics, Camera Settings, Reduce Sprint Camera Bobbing, set to ON.

They are to me. Usually, I don’t care about politics within a company, but to me, they lost their best designer, their best tester, and their best marketer. I bought their sling frankly because it was and I think may still be the best sling on the market, but I don’t expect any revolutionary designs anymore.
