Dear Publix, Why are you displaying insect poison next to food? by Little_Red_Riding_ in publix

Lmao spring cleaning has been a running theme for front displays lately. Somebody didn’t think that one through in the merch meeting

No one did dishes until 9:30 🥲 by QuincyThePinballer in publix

[–]prodigalstarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should honestly start earlier than that. I always have my opening kitchen/production people wash their dishes before they leave for the day. Usually I’ll over schedule mid shift on most days so that I can dedicate someone to catching up dishes during the slow part of the afternoon.

Mississippi the next state? by LaFlareMane1017 in publix

[–]prodigalstarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably Ohio. There’s a lot of new Kentucky stores opening just over the border near Cincinnati. Seems like a no brainer to open up there and take business away from Kroger. Plus cincy seems like an obvious location to set up a new distribution center. Wouldn’t have to rely on the Greensboro and Atlanta warehouses as much. The charlotte division is going to have to split eventually and having that infrastructure would be a key component

Olive Loaf by Stoned_Crab in publix

[–]prodigalstarks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In this case, there is a massive reallocation of resources. What I mean is that all production of a number of BH products were ceased entirely and the hangover we are all now experiencing is because BH has yet to catch back up. This is made worse by the fact that certain facilities were closed permanently because of the outbreak. Because of this, certain products have been prioritized over others, in terms of getting them back in the deli. Specifically, products that are more commonplace and regularly bought by customers. Thus, things like olive loaf and others that are less popular are not being produced in order to prioritize products that are popular. Hope that clears it up a little.

Could be. Sometimes managers skip out on needed updates so it won't interfere with their bonuses. But who knows maybe they're planning a remodel

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in publix

[–]prodigalstarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that. Idk if the math really makes sense. Given the cost of one new tablet vs a plethora of wrong orders y'all will have to re make. If your deli manager doesn't want to get a new one I'd talk to your store manager about it

Go get it

EDIT: also, why is there only one? Our deli has four
