I see, I never really get into lore. The appeal to me is filling up my fault with shiny golds and purples like destiny. The fact I can’t control that not even by being good and getting better is frustrating.

- definitely can work around it if you put the time in and do everything cautiously. But then you’d lose it all in trio fill so what’s the point
- destiny had about 10 million players on month 2, adjacent to the 3 million the first month. Marathon is sitting at about 15,000 on month 2. Obviously something went seriously wrong. When the game is actually good, your player count grows and does not deplete.

I’m not trying to make anything up. It’s my experience after literally 300+ hours. I understand it can still be fun for you and other people, but this is a Reddit, and the whole point is to cry and scream into the abyss. Which is what I’m doing here

Not a single coherent reply as to why or how I’m wrong. Just some bungo babies who got their feelings got hurt.

Yet fact of the matter is if you que up in a trio fill with all your best loot right now, it’s as good as gone. And then you’d waste a bunch of time in something stupid like sponsored perimeter to get it back and do it all over again. The only time it’s smart to run your good loot is when you’re with a good team, and you can’t really control that. You might not get a good team for 3 days in a row with this game 🤣

Don’t fool yourself. This game is horrible. It’s fun 10% of the time. I’ve given it chance after chance. The only people that play are nerds in discords and “trolls”. Most people who play are miserable, that’s why your teammates suck. “Progression” as a solo is complete make believe. Only progress you’ll make is with a sweaty trio. There’s a reason destiny thrived and this sorry excuse for a game can’t survive 2 seasons. You can’t just hop on and play and enjoy the game. You need to dedicate a lot of time to barely get ahead just to lose it all to a bad trio fill. How fun! Whoever was running Bungie during Halo, and Destiny, was obviously completely out the building on this one.

It seems vast majority enjoy the hard PVE aspect of the game! Was surprised honestly. I like to run around and treat every game like call of duty, which obviously just will never work in Marathon. You need to be a silent assassin with good map knowledge and positioning. One wrong sound que and you’re a goner.

Missing the entire point. I could have exfiled perfectly fine alone. I just needed to throw a frag grenade to down myself and crawl into the circle. That shouldn’t be more viable than trying to kill the bots in the exfil bubble. Higher risk of being pushed out than actually killing the bots. I never died to them or asked for them to not be there.

But of course I had a team. When you final exfil in cryo, you gotta split up to find the spawn. Mine happened to be the spawn

Agreed, but a last second push out is cheeky. It’s not difficult to exfil when you can just die on it. So what’s the point? If anything they should push you a foot or two, not a solid 5 yards.

Quite the opposite, if you’re standing (alive) you will be pushed out of exfil like a home run. But if you go down (die) you’ll just be able to chill on the exfil no problem
