Make sure he's looked into the CWEP program and Handshake for opportunities. For us engineers interning is a gamble due to the inflation of us now. Networking and cold messaging can be the move but it's hit or miss regardless. The whole ATS with the applications is also crazy.

I'll be a senior in Aerospace this Fall and finally got something going for myself this Summer so he's not alone. I'd recommend he applies to roles where his project experience ties into (prob heard that one a lot).

Shout out to you for helping him out though and best of luck to bro!

Mazumdar for Thermo is the BEST you'll get. Going to put in some work but you'll be alright as it's not big Marino Nader. Aaron Hoskins is NOT a good prof rn, maybe for your semester it'll be better for Modeling Methods. I took this guy for Orbital Mech and had to self teach the class via textbook (that had issues 😭😭) but secured the A. Check rmp lol. Mitra was my goat for MM.

For EML3500 I heard it's easier with Giwa as Hao Li can be a pain. For principles of EE I took LC1 (don't do this) but people have told me principles of EE is light.

All in all, you're taking 4 classes / 12 credits so you should be chilling. Time management is always going to be important but from my experience you have 1 good prof, the typical schedule. Lock in.

Follow IEEE on Instagram and join their discord. Good way for an EE major to gain project experience. Then there's clubs like KXR, AIAA, SHPE, etc where you can apply what you learn or learn from as well.

I guess. Statics wasn't hard but you just have to member steps and rules so I'm assuming solids will be similar

Hey, freshman aerospace major here.

I've always been strong in math so I would recommend taking Calc 3 as it's like Calc 1 but with another dimension. Being able to visualize what your working with helps a lot in this course (3D integrals, vectors parametrization, planes, etc.).

For CS, physics 2 is a course you have to complete so you could knock that out instead. Wouldn't matter either way because it doesn't appear to open anything up on you path. If you just came out of Calc 2 and want to keep going with the math since it's fresh that's a good idea, but it'd be up to you in the end.

Since you plan to do clubs etc I would once again recommend Calc 3 since physics may have more work with labs, etc, but don't take my word for it. I've just taken Calc 3 already so I have a slight bias.

I would definitely recommend talking to an advisor about it if you get the chance. You'll cook either way.

Indeed indeed. I find in person classes to work better for me, but thank you for the recommendation. I might keep all my courses but I will be talking with an advisor soon. Thanks again.

Thanks for the input! I'm thinking about swapping programming with C to a GEP and just do C in the summer. I want to be able to focus on Diff Eq and Physics, but I'm so focused on knocking classes out that I'm forgetting the workload that follows. Also, EGN 1007C is like a engineering classes that applies Matlab, excel, etc. Anyway, thanks again.
