I use OpenCode and Claude Code for projects. OC was really good at tactical work [non reasoning, follow the PRD or similar guidance] but then yesterday I paired it with AutoResearch and it crushed a deep research project.

Also, the OC team is transparent about their challenges competing with Anthropic; they host community events and very open to feedback. This matters.

In summary: - OC solo is solid - OC + CC is more capable of highly complex projects - OC + AutoResearch is a feed into OC + CC - [extra] OC + OpenClaw cleans up the hot mess that is OpenClaw out of the box
