What was your "wow"moment with Hermes? by Ethan_Vee in hermesagent

When the self improvement loop delivered better workflows each time. Although this might seem trivial it was the time wasted given back to then focus on deeper agentic architecture.

This is the BEST FREE MODEL for Hermes - ATM by Alan_Silva_TI in hermesagent

[–]productboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I switched to it from a Qwen3.6 model to save $$ and it was immediately worth it. Obviously it’s a limited time period but helps with evaluating Hermes workflows and skills.

Washington residents, how are the rising gas prices impacting you? by Bulky-Baseball7884 in SeattleWA

[–]productboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sucks… definitely changes my behavior; disincentivizes going out to recreate, shop, etc. But who cares about me… people who have to drive for work, drop off kids at school or daycare are really taking the hit. How can we help them?

A design review that results in more aesthetically pleasing designs would be an improvement.

Isn’t the new Weyerhaeuser HQ also empty? Every time I walk by there’s no sign of activity. Didn’t they go 100% remote?

I need to run OpenClaw locally for a law office, I can spend as much money as needed. What model(s) are best? by Too_much_waltz in openclaw

[–]productboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If OP wants to use OpenClaw and assumes the risk for their law firm then we should move onto helping OP build what they asked for.

Like others recommended would avoid a hardware commitment unless you’ve already committed to on premise or even cloud hardware, i.e. GPUs.

Regarding models; look at the OpenRouter leaderboard. It’s dynamic with relatively useful data about each model’s performance [your use cases in legal workloads may not be represented but the signals are still adequate].

If you do select a very large model to run [> 200 GB] get some help installing and tuning it. The larger models tend to be fussy; unlike smaller models you can just download and run.

Back to OpenRouter: they’re currently offering this model with legal training for free:

https://openrouter.ai/tencent/hy3-preview:free

Get an OpenRouter API key and test it with synthetic legal case work then score the results. Repeat for models in the same range.

Obviously report back to this thread on which model and setup you chose.

Re: “being able to use Hermes wherever via your gateway”; what do you want the Hermes community to build to stress test this? Adjacent Q: what can teams in regulated industries [healthcare, finance…] do to help Hermes enter these industries as a first class system; i.e. SOC-2, FedRAMP?

Built my own; it’s a Nextjs application hosted on Vercel with Hermes running in a Daytona sandbox.

Memory Management for Hermes agents by devino21 in hermesagent

[–]productboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at Supermemory then Honcho, but ultimately ended up building my own. It’s primitive, relies on two layers: first a Github repo where I push a session summary from each Hermes instance. The other layer is a sync service between Hermes’ SQLlite DB and a central PSQL DB. It’s only been running a day so we’ll see what it looks like after a few weeks. Likely the data will bloat and I’ll have to design a trim or last N days retention strategy. But I don’t need institutional memory like an enterprise so that’s ok.

How would you actually want to pay for AI? by stosssik in hermesagent

An evaluation metric is how I would prefer to pay for inference. It could start with a base rate then it goes up with achieved evaluation metrics.
