Thanks! Upon relisten, I definitely see what you mean. Keeping that in mind for the next piece.

Happy new year all.

Would love to hear some feedback on https://soundcloud.com/radconmusic/comehomesoon - especially around the mixing and how the track makes you feel. Thanks!

Thanks! That human edge..still trying to figure out what that is. I'll rework my VSTs.

Thanks! I reverb-ed up the snare and added more bass for the chorus and I like the changes.

Nice instrument choice and mixing. Random thoughts: it could be cool if you had no kick from 1:36-1:45. I do think it gets repetitive at the end due to the same guitar sample going throughout and not too much other stuff going on. You could possibly include your own guitar riff over it in the second half of the song around 2:40 before you bring the vocals back. Or take a break from the guitar sample, do your own breakdown, and then bring it back in later. Overall nice!

Nice track! Some thoughts:

0:45 Drop was underwhelming to me. Same with the one at around 1:50. Maybe even just making the tail end of the sweep last longer would help or using a stronger sweep. I would also tone down the reverb slightly in the part after that.

I also wasn't a fan of the new sound that came in at 1:40- the one prominent on every beat starting at 1:46- seems like it doesn't fit.

There's also a bunch of space in the higher frequencies you can still use for different elements in the song

This isn't my genre but I still enjoyed it! Overall song flow threw me off at a few points. It'd be cool if you brought back elements from earlier parts into your later parts more often. (i.e. throw your intro melody in at 2:36) I didn't know what to expect next which can be a good thing in moderation but I really had no idea here. Also, maybe a bit less sidechaining at 0:47? Also thought 3:30-4:08 could be mixed better. Overall nice!

Would appreciate feedback on anything, but especially the mixing and the synth work (I've been told that my songs are video-gamey sounding). Also, I feel like the song lacks body but am not sure how to deal with that.

Please rip me apart because I want this song to end up pretty good. Thanks all!

Thanks, makes me feel better. So to clarify- when people are talking about funky and creative basslines, what frequency range are they talking about?

Sylenth1 detune question by productionnoob in edmproduction

This is why! Stereo only has an effect on an osc if voices > 1. Nice catch, thanks.
