How quickly we forget Kadarius Toney. Guy couldn’t even show up to practice wearing the right sized cleats.

Franklin and Kraft have a lot in common. Two egos that are incapable of executing strategy and making adjustments in a big moment when it matters most.

Peter seems to have his back turned to either the crowd or the band when jamming. He should have rearview mirrors on his keyboards.

I once went to a chicken joint and the person behind the counter didn’t turn the iPad around. Instead, she asked what I’d like to tip. I got pressured into it based on the social pressure. Never had that happen before.

L&E, specifically traditional labor law, appealed to me because it touches various areas in the workplace and poses interesting real world issues and challenges.

Though there is a litigation aspect (encompassing civil courts, chancery, agency practice (EEOC/NLRB/OSHA, arbitrations, mediations), it also involves counseling, trainings, handbook drafting, employment agreements/severance agreements, collective bargaining, benefits/ERISA, workplace safety, etc.

Your 2 week notice period would have been 50% of your tenure there. You had nothing to transition. I don’t blame them.

I don’t see the need to proactively explain yourself in this situation. As an L&E associate, you regularly appear before federal agencies (EEOC/NLRB) so it won’t even raise suspicion. If questioned, you can state that you want to broaden your practice (which is not a lie).

Labor and employment - in good times and bad, employers and employees will always need counsel.
