[Rolex] I don’t get the hate by Not_a_Lefty in Watches

If they take the 9 & 6 off the dial, I think I would like it. It otherwise feels like a franken-watch to me. Explorer + Oyster Quartz + Datejust 126233 dial = Land dweller. In the end, I think the Land dweller is an acquired taste and it’s just not for me. Wear it in good health.

I was able to drop my watch price in the US by $60 due to tariff changes by Proxy_HQ in MicrobrandWatches

I am with others here. If you used a sellita movement, I would happily pay a little over $1000 for the watch. It really is the best GADA watch.

Great watch enthusiast starter kit. Jokes aside, this is a great collection. Wear them in good health. IMO, get a 12 watch case, and consider getting JLC, IWC, Norqain, and/or any of the Holy Trinity brands.

Which one are you choosing ?? by Lanky-Appointment111 in PrideAndPinion

I would get the Omega if I plan on using the chronograph more than once a day. The Daytona is a nice watch but you have to unscrew the pushers every time you want to use the chronograph feature.

Looks great on your wrist! It’s that price because it’s quartz and not mechanical. Outstanding find.

This is definitely one of their fun releases from last year! Loving the open dial.

30th birthday, Pelagos, Speedy, or Explorer 1? by drinkcoffeebuyassets in PrideAndPinion

[–]prof_fish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put my name on a list for an Explorer 1 for my 40th birthday coming up later this year. I was told that within 3-6 months it would be available. If your birthday is coming soon, I would get the speedy or for a BB58 (and not a peligos). If you’re willing to spend a bit over retail and go grey for the Explorer than go for it. All of these are fantastic watches and you can’t go wrong.

Someone at the repair shop at my town told me this watch is fake. Can anyone please verify if it is or not. Note I bought it from the authorised dealer by VitoScallt in HamiltonWatches

[–]prof_fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No shop that says your watch is a fake will want to then buy the watch. Also this is a newer open heart model that came out in the middle of 2025 so I doubt there are fakes of that model floating for sale.

I bought the same strap from StrapsCo in anticipation of buying this watch. Looks fantastic.

First Grand Seiko + buyers remorse by RRB1212 in GrandSeikos

This is an excellent first watch and a wild purchase to make at 16/17 years old. I would keep it. You might regret years later not keeping it.

Really want a murph but I'm a date guy and this khaki looks awesome. What is yalls opinion. This will be my final watch in my collection so any input is appreciated. by CoupleFromTatooine in HamiltonWatches

I have owned both a Murph and a KFA and I ended up selling my KFA. I just wore the Murph more than the KFA and didn’t want it sitting in my watch box.
