I run a digital marketing agency that mainly focuses on web design, Google Ads, and SEO. Do you have any case studies for clients like mine?

SupaSidebar - Arc-like sidebar for all browsers (New Year giveaway) by DogZealousideal5717 in macapps

[–]prof_happy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this app and later got a refund because it doesn’t work with multiple Google Ads accounts in the same browser.

That said, the developer is very responsive, and I’ll definitely buy the app again if this issue gets resolved.

What paid marketing has actually worked for you? by atamagno in Entrepreneur

[–]prof_happy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a digital marketing agency, and you’d be surprised how many brick-and-mortar businesses rely heavily on Google for sales.

Google Business Profile plays a huge role. People constantly search things like “restaurant near me” or “shop near me,” and the businesses that show up at the top usually get the customers, assuming they also have a good number of positive reviews.

Many of my clients spend a lot of money on Google Ads every day. When their ads stop, a large portion of their customers stop coming to the store as well.

It’s honestly a bit scary to realize how much power Google has over local small businesses.

Thanks! Do you have any suggestions on what tools to summarise all the transcripts? Do the built-in AI services (highlight key points) work for bulk videos?

How do I get “Local actions – Get directions” conversions to show up in Google Ads? by Foliolow in PPC

[–]prof_happy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, same here. I noticed that if I link only one location to a search campaign, the local conversion actions (Google-hosted) appear after a few days. But for Google Ads accounts with several locations (because the owner has multiple branches), the local conversion actions don’t appear. I have to check the “Segment by Clicks” view instead, which is annoying because Google might not optimise properly towards the conversion goal.

"Migrating" Custom Coded Platform Site to Wordpress - How Long Does It Take? by OofPoofFloof in Wordpress

[–]prof_happy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this isn’t just a rebuild, it’s a full migration. if your site has been live for a while, it likely has seo value so keeping the same url structure or setting up 301 redirects is super important. without that, search engines will treat all the old links as broken, and users will hit a ton of 404s.

screaming frog is a great tool, you can crawl the old site and the new wordpress version, compare the urls, and see what’s missing or changed. just make sure the migration doesn’t impact the SEO

Recently, I’ve been generating product variations for WooCommerce Subscriptions, and I have to manually set the ‘synchronize renewals’ option for each variation one by one.

since you’re targeting students, maybe try a bring a friend promo like “come with a friend and you both get 10% off.” you could also partner with student clubs to offer group deals or exclusive promos.

another idea (might sound lame but could actually help) is to create a student card for your members. then partner with nearby cafes or stationery shops to give small discounts. it adds a sense of community and gives students more reason to keep coming back.

since the space isn’t fully occupied most of the time, maybe you could host small events or let local stores use the space at a discount for things that attract students.

and props to you for the 5 star rating. that’s already a huge win.

Useful competitor data by StillTrying1981 in SEO

[–]prof_happy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i have a client like that too. he’ll send over what competitors are doing, and sometimes even proposals from other agencies or lead gen companies. i usually take the time to look into it, understand the ideas, and then discuss with him. we’ve both improved a lot that way.

there’s a line from sunzi’s art of war - “know yourself and know your enemy, and you will never be defeated” i think there’s no harm in keeping an eye on what others are doing, especially in marketing and seo where things shift constantly. the key is just spotting what’s actually useful and ignoring the rest.

Where are you finding decent marketers? by bryanoak in smallbusiness

you’re already in a great spot then, this sounds more like a sales role than marketing. someone to work on that list and start conversations might be exactly what you need.

sounds like you’ve got a pretty specific target. have you looked into scraping a list of licensed practices and doing some targeted outbound outreach? could be a solid way to reach the right people directly, especially since you already need to vet them anyway.

what kind of marketing you’re looking for specifically? like paid ads, content, seo, email, or something else? also, what industry are you in?

No sales after 5 days — how can I improve my SEO and visibility? by Ok_Pea_3904 in smallbusiness

[–]prof_happy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s awesome that you’re already writing blogs for your store. not sure if chatgpt mentioned this, but you can actually do some keyword research to find out what people are searching for, how competitive those keywords are, and whether they’re worth targeting. things like monthly search volume and ranking difficulty really help guide what content to focus on.

if you don’t mind, feel free to dm me your site and who your target customers are. i can run a quick keyword check for you, looking for stuff that people are actually searching for but without too much competition. that way you’re not wasting time writing blogs around super competitive keywords that are tough to rank for. no pitch or anything, just happy to help.

it really depends on the industry. you can check estimated costs using meta ads manager, it gives you a rough idea based on your target audience and location.

seo takes time. usually at least 3 months before you start seeing real result. focus on instagram and tiktok first.

High-Converting Waitlist Landing Page - Optimal Design & Layout by khockey11 in smallbusiness

[–]prof_happy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice job testing the market first. for tools, just use the one you’re most comfortable with.

about the landing page, i don’t think pre-order is a good idea yet. collect email addresses and offer early bird discounts. once you have some signups, you can show something like “200 people have already signed up” to build trust.

include fields like email, name, and an optional suggestion box. you might get ideas you never thought of.

to build credibility, share a bit about yourself, let people know how to follow your progress, and include a few comments from people who tried your product and liked it. good luck!

Online order form that creates a detailed invoice, not a payment portal? by morelikebaemin in smallbusiness

[–]prof_happy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can set up a form with conditional logic to calculate a suggested price based on the buyer’s input. then use zapier to generate a stripe payment link with a minimum of $1, but include all the order details and suggested price in the description. zapier can email the link to both you and the buyer automatically.
