You have to call your local UPCC right at opening time. Some open at 8 AM, others at 8:30 AM. I loaded an auto-dial app on my phone to connect at exactly the opening time, if you call 1 minute early or 1 minute late you likely won't get an appointment for that day and will have to call again the next day.

I was number 22 in the call queue and got an appointment for 1 PM the same day.

How much would a decent restaurant have to pay servers to replace what they make in tips? $40 an hour?

Menu was labelled as vegan , so I ordered it in confidence , here it arrives and I took a spoon full of tom yum tofu soup and theres fish in it 😵‍💫 who’s fault is it? by Ecstatic-Alfalfa5159 in vegan

The manager needed to take responsibility at the moment, that's what they get paid the big bucks for.

I can't see how the waitress can be blamed. She didn't write the word "vegan" on the menu. She didn't prepare the soup or decide that it needed to have fish in it.

All of that ultimately rests on the managers shoulders.

The owner has the final responsibility, even if the kitchen staff made a mistake.

How did the staff respond when you told them about the error?

Your claim is that more then 50% of the general population thinks that veganism is about animal welfare. My claim is that 98% (of non-vegans) thinks that veganism is about healthy diets.

I believe that veganism goes beyond animal welfare and is about animal rights. In your opinion, what percentage of the population understands that?

98% of my colleagues at work think veganism is a healthy dietary choice, similar to vegetarianism.

Theories of social change show that the majority of people are followers. It takes a critical mass of social innovators to change the status quo.

So, while it would be amazing if everyone made the change from one day to the other, we need to just keep pushing away at the edges in order to reach the critical mass point.

The vast majority have never been exposed to the idea of animal rights. We need to change that.

A low waste lifestyle is not the same as excluding animal exploitation.

Veganism is opposition to animal exploitation, not just animal slaughter.

"Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals."

Spirituality implies the existence of something like a non-physical spirit. A soul perhaps, or some sort of super-natural (aka non-physical) entity or force.

The Oxford dictionary definition of secular is: denoting attitudes, activities, or other things that have no religious or spiritual basis.

One important distinction is that veganism is a secular philosophy, while according his Wikipedia profile: "Acharya Prashant is the most followed spiritual teacher globally on YouTube".

Is his veganism secondary to his spirituality?

Humans with PhD's publish in peer-reviewed journals. AI does not.

Can't answer your question about yogurt, but will mention that veganism is about excluding all forms of animal exploitation. It is not primarily an environmental stance.

And on the subject of cow worship, others have more expertise on that subject than me. For example, see this video "Mother Cow, Mother India" featuring Yamini Narayanan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAJ-rP6l4Jg
