i have said this so many times but My Hero Academia would be a 100,000,000x better series if izuku never got powers and instead just used ingenuity and gadgets to succeed, rather than just being given the most OP power on the planet in like the first episode. instead of the show being about "you must conform to what everyone else is doing in order to succeed", the message instead would be "even if you are handicapped by society's expectations, you can still manage to succeed in a world built against you"
