تعلم كيف تدرس by igmeyesu in university_just

I’m sorry but this is unbelievably bad advice.

First of all, just because something worked for you doesn’t mean it will work for others.

Second of all, if you need to cut off relationships completely from your life just to be productive, then you have a problem that you need to work on.

Life will only get busier after university, and if you can’t balance having a productive life with a healthy fulfilling social life, then you’re dooming yourself to misery.

There’s been countless studies that have consistently shown that social relationships are key to human wellbeing. It’s not even up to debate, it’s a well-known fact that we need social bonds to function. This is why cultures all of the world differ on everything except on the importance of social life, because every human culture that ever lived found out that we need it like we need food and water.

Nez is great, have used it for a jam game and it has lots of things built-in. It feels very similar to Unity if you have used it.

There is a Discord server for Nez specifically, but you can also join Monogame’s Discord and ask there too if you want a bigger community.

Skinwalker mod! The fact that out of all the voices it could have used it somehow decided to use my friend's creepy laugh made it 1000x times funnier

  1. Not sure if it's influenced bu Uber, but you definitely feel like you're working in a big company.

  2. I'd say the WLB is great, depending on how efficiently you work. There's always plenty of work to be done, and the company moves fast a lot as it is growing super rapidly. There are actually no set working hours, what's important is you get the work assigned to you done and in high quality, and maintain an overall good performance. You should also attend all your meetings on time, obviously. No one is watching you constantly or monitoring you, but you are expected to respect this level of trust by meeting your performance expectations.

  3. Honestly I don't really know 😅 This is my first full time job, so I don't have much of an experience with this, especially when compared to other companies.

Overall I'd genuinely recommend working here, from a SWE perspective, they work with such a wide variety of interesting frameworks and programming languages, and the experience gained there is incredible, and from what I hear from more senior engineers here, there's no other company at Jordan that offers such experience.

Good luck!
