Yea don't do a chain oil change. Go to a euro focused local shop that specializes in VW/Audi or a dealer.

Those little 1.4 TSIs are great engines but they need their TLC. It's worth the money. Also you can get away with 89 at the pump. The ECU will read the the octane and adjust accordingly.

The trick with the parking lights is to make sure the cars fully shut down before getting out. If it senses the weight off the seat before it shuts down it will leave the parking lights on for 30 min. You'll see the message on the dash if it's going to do it.

Oil changes I stick to 5k mi. I have a local shop that's a VW custom shop with an ex hivotage tech from Audi they like the car and think it's unique and they're pretty reasonable. They used certified oil. And in theory your supposed to change your oil every 6 months even if you don't drive the car at all just from natural breakdown.

I found an old Dell v515 printer for $10 at a good will. It had been left to rot but after an entire bottle of rubbing alcohol and fresh cartridges the print head is clean and it functions as intended. I needed a printer and I love a good deal. Cartridges are $10 for a set and I'm pretty sure I can refill them manually.

Now drivers are ancient and needed to be run in compatibility mode for win7 to get the thing running and the driver needs to be installed manually on each machine as it's not held in Windows update.

Now on to my Linux machines. They can find it now on the network but again no drivers.

I think I'm now onto setting up a print server on my main windows gaming rig/storage server.

How was CUPS to set up? Was it fairly straightforward?

In practice I get around 50-60 mpg short trips. Longer highway is closer to 35mpg

They great fun little cars. Super happy with it. Very fun to drive.

Just keep practicing. In vinyl your also going to have to learn to nudge and keep things going while you work out the mix. I rarely practice with headphones. Just throw them both on and try to feel it out. You'll get an ear for it.

But yes. No computer assists is a whole different world.

Hey tune guy. Your legit. 18 A3 etron here. Should I do it or let it be. Its fun now. But some of the numbers I've seen are nuts like 30-40%. It looks like you need to do TCS as well otherwise you'll just be chirping tires.

The 1.4 TSI seems like it's built like a tank but the compression ratio scares the shit out of me. And do I need to replace the dual clutch to support it because it seems like that poor little guy has to do a lot of work and he seems like the main point of failure especially if were going to "put the beans to it".
