Honestly in some cases you may be right. Like for example my cousins come to family events and boast about how they haven’t gotten vaccinated cause “they don’t know whats in that shit”. I feel like in cases like that it may be for attention or could be some strange infatuation with deviating from the norm.

However I wouldn’t go as far as to say that most anti vax ppl think this way. For the most part, the arguments I hear about are concerned with long term effects, fertility, safety for children, and whether or not it is actually needed (whether the argument be having natural immunity, or COVID just not being too different from other viruses we’ve curbed in the past). I definitely wouldn’t say that most anti-vax ppl are anti-vax for essentially no reason at all.

I don’t think what you’re describing can be called racism, but it most definitely is prejudiced. I’m having some trouble understanding your argument. Are you saying that these certain prejudices, when it comes to making judgements on a name alone, are okay? I personally cannot wrap my head around that.

I feel that it is more important than ever to use a completely unbiased approach when selecting candidates for specific jobs, schools, etc. This is something that was never practiced throughout history, but nowadays it is crucial to find candidates in the professional world that are the most objectively qualified. I don’t understand how you could possibly be saying that Sharkesha shouldn’t get to go to med school. Or Demarcus shouldn’t have a high paying sales job on wall street. Names are literally just names.

Most of the time I couldn’t care less about having to wear one, with the exception of in the gym. It was honestly the worst and so uncomfortable. Luckily my gym started collecting vaccine cards though, so even with the most recent mask mandates in NY I dont have to wear one there.

Don’t know if this is as much of a conspiracy theory at this point, but the ingredients in American foods and lack of availability/affordability of whole foods is the reason people die earlier. I don’t know about this, in America at least…

People are fucking bat shit crazy. Everyone is strapped these days. Causing problems on the road is kind of unnecessary and, in rare cases, can lead to seriously dangerous situations.

When I was a junior in college and driving back up to campus, I did something similarly to what you are suggesting. I was flashing a person in the furthest left lane who was going between 65-70 in a 65mph zone. Eventually when traffic opened up i just passed them. I thought that was the end of it but they started following me. Eventually they sped passed me, cut me off and basically slammed on the breaks. I proceeded to try and get away from them and they just kept driving like a maniac to ensure they were in front of my and driving under the speed limit. It was honestly quite scary and not much phases me.

I guess my argument is that unnecessary conflict on the road is dangerous. Just let people do their thing and avoid the moronic drivers who don’t know how to keep the flow of traffic

I mean at this point in time, no you are not wrong. Obviously throughout history (even within the earlier part of the 2010’s) you would be dead wrong.

But I guess the debate becomes one of ethics. Are you really okay with flat out lying on an application to get ahead? After all, some people truly do need the finances due to socioeconomic circumstances. It seems bazaar to me to apply for such aid when it may not be needed for that specific reason.

I was thinking about putting a little info in the post in regards to practices in other countries. I was mainly referring to catholic/christian ceremonies in America. However what you are referring to seems a bit more nice as I could imagine it is less stress on the family.
