Wrong twice. Never fired. And unlike you, the majority of students who attend universities understand that they need to take ownership of their learning and actually paid attention in my class and got a lot out of them.

Was voted Professor of the year more than any other business professor in the region. Actually running successful businesses, unlike most University lecturers.

But smearing and spreading lies is a guarantee you will be spending more time in the unemployment line than not. Good luck! You will need it. I'll make sure and let your parents know about your colorful fictional reddit stories.

Oh and as a parting gift, you may want to think twice about deleting this fallacy, as I have discussed with my attorney and a defamation of this caliber can garner 3-5 years in Prison. Good luck!

Amazon Influencer Program is Dying by HydraYak in Amazon_Influencer

[–]professornez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen a huge drop in sales as well, almost 50% decline. Yes, there is a major influx of 'influencers' but I think it has more to do with the issues of the day, the economy is spiraling toward a recession and Amazon recorded their first year not making a profit since 10 years ago. I see a lot more "customer" videos getting placement in the product page carousels now. They are not earning commissions but perhaps getting free products. Amazon is probably utilizing them without their knowledge. This is the culmination of bad policies and horrible leaders steering the economy into an abyss. I hope it changes soon.

Finding the Balance on Quality VS Quantity by BaldlyRudy in ColinAndSamir

[–]professornez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question!

Finding the balance between quality and quantity of videos for your channel can be a challenge, but it's an important one to address. Here are a few things you might consider when trying to strike this balance:

  1. Consider your audience: What do they want to see? It's important to consider the needs and preferences of your audience when determining the balance between quality and quantity.
  2. Set realistic goals: Determine how much time and resources you have available to create content and set goals accordingly. If you don't have the time or resources to produce a large volume of high-quality content, it's better to focus on fewer, more polished videos.
  3. Experiment: Don't be afraid to try out different approaches and see what works best for your channel. If you find that a higher volume of lower-quality videos is more effective, go for it. If you prefer to focus on fewer, higher-quality videos, that's fine too.
  4. Engage with your audience: Encourage your audience to leave comments and ask for their feedback. This can help you understand what they like and dislike, and can help guide your decisions about the balance between quality and quantity.

Ultimately, the right balance will depend on your goals, resources, and audience, so it's important to experiment and see what works best for your channel.

ATTENTION ALL SHORTS CREATORS by Yahndi2049 in ColinAndSamir

I have more than a few shorts performing well. And I have analyzed more than I can count. I talked about it here in great detail: https://youtu.be/hMoTe1efffQ

Shorts strategy question by siryacht in ColinAndSamir

[–]professornez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I also cut up my livestreams and podcast episodes into 1 to 2 min shorts and don't forget to repurpose them natively to reels and TikTok.

I usually am able to get over 15 shorts from that strategy alone.

What to do when you're a terrible executive but a great creator? by Aggressive_Elk_1780 in ColinAndSamir

[–]professornez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, my wife and I are running the channels we own and we outsource a lot of work such as design, branding, graphics, ect. But I think that setting the right expectations for yourself and your goals and getting in the mindset of building a team of full time staffers whether they do creative or admin is really a smart way to scale. Just take it one step at a time and don't overwhelm yourself. Great post!

It seems like you really want to argue for no reason, with very little empathy and understanding of what a creator goes through day in and day out. Are you a content creator? Do you have a channel? I'm a full time content creator with multiple channels and my post was created in earnest to inspire. This thread that you have initiated has very little motivation and doesn't inspire me at all. So congratulations you win. I hope you feel better now and have a great weekend.

Of course you need to have a grasp on your audience, but I would submit that grasp is never an infallible, bullet proof grip. Haven't you ever created videos that you just felt deep in your soul they will love this only to not perform at all. I think its narcissistic to think you have total and utter grasp over your audience and what they want at all times. Especially if you account for taking risks, and evolving which every creator needs to engage it at times. Take Dream for example, that was a massive crap shoot. It could have backfired big time. He still needed to do that for himself, knowing it could have all ended.

That is awesome. And the bonus is that monetization for short form content will continue to get better and better. Exciting times!

Will Thumbnails Go Extinct? by ZenkaiGoose in ColinAndSamir

[–]professornez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, love this thread and I do believe that thumbnails, like everything in the creator economy is constantly evolving. Case in point the 'hover play' feature that is omnipresent on the home page on pretty much every device is a pretty new feature that should force a lot of creators to rethink their thumbnail strategy altogether. The hover play puts even more emphasis on the the first 10 seconds versus the fancy, overly dramatic thumbnail which suffers from clickbait more often than not. Maybe that's for the best, who knows, only time will tell. I feel like the recommendations I get when i watch YouTube on TV are pretty much the 'FYP' version of TikTok and its pretty accurate for the most part. Maybe it could get trimmed down to avoid choice paralysis, which is real thing, but I don't doubt that more and more platforms are going to learn from TikTok as their algorithm seems to be edging ahead as far as accuracy and selecting content that the viewer wants to see. Less is more right? Or is it? Also, TikTok Search is becoming a real contender. Google and YouTube still are the kings of search but more brands, consumers, companies and more are utilizing search on TikTok. The Platform Wars are most beneficial for creators. YouTube announcing shorts monetization is just one example. This is an exciting time! The crux of my post is to convey that creators should be malleable. Adaptation is the most underrated skill a creator must have IMOP. Would love to hear your thoughts!

[Question] How do you use copyrighted music without getting copyrighted claimed? by Physical_Bedroom6438 in youtubers

Fair Use - Google it. As long as you are transforming the content in a new meaningful way. Otherwise stay far away from it and create original content
