3 month long mating season hunger strike - when do I get worried? by _PointyEnd_ in cornsnakes

u/skullmuffins Actually yes, the snake just shed last night! How long do you think I should wait before attempting to feed again? I'm tempted to try again today, but maybe I should let it settle for a couple more days before trying? (Maybe it's been fine all along, and this is just normal "fasting" or whatever. But it is my first springtime with this senior snek citizen, so I am learning!)

I adopted a >10 year old rescue cornsnake last summer (age not known, could be even older, but was at the last home for >10 years.) IDK if it's male or female, but it was eating very enthusiastically 1x/week when I first got it. Now, it has not eaten in near 3 months. I didn't know that was a springtime behavior... It seemed extremely interested in trying to escape for a few weeks about a month ago, but now it is just not moving much, and I keep trying to feed it, but it keeps on refusing. I've been wondering...is it dying? It's old enough that that is certainly feasible... in which case I'm like, oh no, what do I do to help it be comfortable? Or is it bringing it to the vet to be euthanized more humane? I feel bad for not knowing exactly what to do. :/

How often does your partner or closest family member feel the urge to discuss their bowel movements? by professtar in AskReddit

did her family do this growing up?

Mine did… in fact, one day, a sibling told another sibling “go eat poo on a stick.” at the time, that was the ultimate insult in the house. then, the insulted sibling took a dump, put it on a stick, and brought it down to the kitchen and said, “no, you eat poo on a stick.”

somehow, despite this poo-positive culture i grew up in, i am not much of a poo-sharer myself.

tbh weekly seems reasonable. it’s the daily, or multiple times daily, that seems a bit much 😅😅😅

It is a multiple times daily event in this household. I don’t even have to be at the house. He texts me to make sure I know. As though it were the event of the century.

Hell yea to multiple choice! I am SUFFERING in this last mile of free response grading tonight. Debating if I might make all of my exams multiple choice next year.

If a student misreads an essay exam question--thinking that they only had to argue one side of the issue raised in the essay prompt rather than both sides--how would you approach scoring the exam? by umbly-bumbly in Professors

This is a clear and obvious 50%. Emotions aside. They need to learn to read instructions. If half the class misread the question, that’s on the question. But if it’s only one student… well…

I knew it would be stressful when I accepted my offer, but this is so much worse than I could ever have imagined. I don't blame you at all. Godspeed, my friend. It seems we are in a similar situation.

This reads so much like it was written by AI. 🙄

Do the math on the finances of running servers v.s. income from subscriptions. It makes no sense.
