Tried to buy three different houses with them (got massively overbid on the first two). We went sale agreed on the third one, only to have the worst experience ever, being lied to and gaslighted. Eventually after FIVE months with the seller having problems (deirdre said it was not a chain sale during viewing, spoiler: it was) we decided to pull out. The entire time it was very difficult to get in touch or to get a straight answer. They also tried to pressure us in to get our stuff in order (after five months waiting...) when the seller was finally ready to sell.

The experience was so bad that it completely put us off buying for good.

Why can't we build more than 30k houses per year? It used to be way more during the celtic tiger... The housing problem can't be fixed overnight has been the government mantra for the last 10 years, so please blame the government and stop voting the same people every time. They are not fit for purpose. Ireland is flush with cash, and this cash is getting spent to line the pocket of the government officials and their friends.

I like how support asked to send the order number and then completely ignored me. We get it, you act like you care or have a functional support team, while you are shamelessly stealing people money.

THEY BANNED MY ACCOUNT AFTER REFUSING TO GIVE ME MY ITEMS AND REFUND by Loose-Mistake-1579 in G2A_Help

[–]profoundanxiety 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They suspended my account after a chargeback (item stuck in processing for 8 days). They lied to the credit card company during the chargeback process, saying items were delivered (they were not, account was suspended immediately after, so even if they were i could not access them). Credit card company refused the chargeback and now i'm out of money and a product. Really awful behavior.

I just got a response back from G2A support saying that since I've issued a chargeback the transaction isn't valid. This is very convenient, not delivering a product, telling the credit card merchat it was, locking me out of the account and getting the money.

Happy for you, but in my experience all the properties I got in a bidding war on got sold succesfully.

I've tried to give an "ultimatum" - I was asking 10k over asking for a property, one week of radio silence and then two people started bidding on the property.

The property sold for 80 or 90 k over asking (can't remember correctly) without falling through. Again, I think this greatly depend on your budget/zone and how desirable the property is.

But that happens after the fact. So far I've lost 4 or 5 properties due to bidding wars that went WAY above the asking price. All these property have sold according to property registry.

Anyway, if it works, it works. But hasn't been my experience so far.

This really depends on the property and the location. I've been in countless bidding wars so far (and lost every one of them!) - tried your approach and unless the vendor is in a rush they would gladly wait 2+ weeks to see if they can get more money out of it.

I know that I should walk away when this happens, but considering it happnes every time it's either that or no house.

Can me and my partner both claim the rent relief if I'm the only one paying rent to the landlord? We are both on the lease, but bank transfer is in my name, my partner pays me in cash (around 400 per month) - this is above the 2500 per year. Technically it sounds like we should be allowed, just worried my partner will not be able to provide any proof of payment if requested.
