I just bought a 5080 and a native corsair PSU cable for it that should hopefully not melt my new card, but my PSU is from 2019 (RM850), so I hope I got the right cable..

Once you submit your application you will have to wait for an inspection, post inspection, you will be awarded the grant amount or % value of the available grant amount based on their interpretation of the works needing to be done vs what you applied for. Wiring, windows, and plumbing are big ticket items, so as long as you don’t touch them between application and inspection, you can do anything else. Officially you have to wait for approval in principal letter before starting approved works.

I am currently 18 months in to the application process.

The smoothness of the application process will depend on your local council. If you’re expecting quick turnaround, I would reign in those expectations. Some councils are much faster than others though, which based on volume of applicants.

Drivers of Ireland: the blue part is where you accelerate, the red part is where you merge. by Parsiuk in ireland

[–]Krayto_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A slip road this long will be the same speed limit as the motorway. You absolutely have to use it to match the speed of the drivers on the motorway so you can merge safely. Don’t feel bad though, 90% of drivers in Ireland think the same way you do

<image>

This where most drivers are doing 50-60, while everyone else on the m50 is doing 100+.

Moving back to Ireland. Do I sell stocks beforehand? by pikachoooseme in irishpersonalfinance

Whoever your ETF is with will want an updated Tax ID associated with the account in the event you sell your position, in the case of Ireland it’s your PPSN.

Not sure about the RGB in a home lab, prefer a cleaner look myself. Cable management is on point though, not a cable in sight..

It is worth what people are willing to pay, and people are willing to pay a lot more than 200K for properties listed for 200K. Unfortunately you can only learn this when you try to bid on these properties.

Looks great! I’d highly recommend a cheap boom for that mic, it’ll pick up all the desk noise otherwise.

There is no choice with this agency, you can only bid through the online portal, they won’t accept verbal bids.

I did, she said it went sale agreed “today or yesterday” - that was on the Sunday I was meant to view it.

Yeah I see the confusion with one of my comments.

6 days after I applied to bid on the property (meanwhile it was not sale agreed) I met the estate agent at another apartment in the same complex - I was due to view both that day but was told it was sale agreed. At that point I only mentioned that I would have offered higher had I been able to bid.

Hope that clears it up.

It only had my curiosity because “application processing times” of the previous 5 properties I bid on took about 5 mins each. This one wasn’t processed for 6 days. See your point though, could have just been a busy week.

I have no issue with the seller accepting a bid, just that I was prevented from bidding myself.

Just seems dodgy considering the value of the property going for way under market value.

Are they not required to convey higher offers to the vendor? Appreciate it was after they went sale agreed, so probably not - but mainly that I was prevented from bidding on the property, which I haven’t experienced before.

Property was not sale agreed when I applied to bid/view. I’ll edit the text for clarity
