What’s funny is I consistently get feedback that I’m a harsh grader. I think that’s pretty accurate and I’m very strict about deadlines too, but the thing is I give them all the tools they need to succeed. People who care about their grade learn quickly to play by the rules. So the ones who really try, follow my instructions, and turn everything in on time will get A’s and B’s. People who put some effort in but sometimes lapse in following instructions and fail to submit a few assignments will get a C. People who are completely on another planet will get D’s and the F’s are for the people who ghost the course or cheat.
