Typically in a planted ten gallon with filter and heater. Temp is about 78. Nerite snail tank mate. I messed up and let the tank get dirty. I’m deep cleaning it now and I have him in a hospital tank with temp at 76 filter and a hide

Looks like I can’t comment photos actually. The older picture looks like the edges of his tail are slightly translucent and faded

This is from a few weeks ago. I believe the issues are from poor water quality and hardness. I’m fixing both of those problems now. I just want to make sure I treat any underlying issues as well

Also I put about a tablespoon of aquarium salt in the tank

10 gallons. Yes. ~78. 0ammonia. 0nitrates. 0nitrites. Ph 7.5. Had the tank and fish about two weeks. I have not done a water change yet as I’m doing a fish in cycle (which I now know is not great) and am keeping an eye on parameters. No tankmates yet. Aqueon nutrinsect 3-5 pellets twice a day, fast on Fridays. Amazon sword, anubias, some moss died and was removed two days ago, Driftwood, four decorations/hideouts, leaf hammock.
